It all makes sense. A private apartment away from the big open spaces with their cold drafts was a great idea. The apartment is beautifully and tastefully appointed and very cozy. It's really nice to see it all laid out after watching all the bits and pieces being worked on over the last two years. I love those removable closet lights - that's so clever!! I love that you framed your tv in the salon. Angel Strawbridge didn't create the beautiful fabric in your master bedroom. Michael Petherick is the artist. She basically stole the design from him after a collaboration.

The third floor is simply spectacular. Starting with the beautiful wood panels of the tower. The warmth of the stain is so welcoming. Then the exposed wood beams and partial frames in each room lends to the originality of the Chateaux. The beams in your small private kitchen are spellbinding and will be marvelous when complete. Your bedroom with the wall of inlaid wood cupboards is smashing. The salon is so warm, cozy and best of all.....inviting! I have run out of superlatives to describe just how beautiful the entire third floor you have made for your Chateaux.

The scale and intimacy of each room is tastefully appointed and the long corridor connects each space with a flood of light and continuity with spots for much needed storage. Its feels like the apartment sails along in an everchanging French Sky protecting its Owners and cargo within. I can only imaging what the rest of the Chateau will be like as its rooms are revealed in the episodes and years to come Well done to you and all your efforts .

It's funny- I heard a prepper saying just today that out west in the USA when they were settling, they built low ceiling houses to keep the warmth in during the horribly cold winters. It is a very cozy, beautiful space/apartment you've made for yourselves with spectacular views. And your kitty - as most kitties do- has THE best life !!!

Wow, the rooms and the corridor turned out so very beautifully. I love the lower ceilings to create warmth and coziness. Each room is a work of art with all the detail work including the widow seats and the trim work. Terry, your upholstery work is exquisite. It's absolutely beautiful! What a grand change from when you all started. I can't wait for the different areas of the chateau to look like the 3rd floor , shiny and elegant.
IMPORTANT: Ok I have to say this from a place of love, respect and admiration for you both not to scare you. I don’t see any fire extinguishers or hydrants anywhere outside. Especially if you going to use as a home with a working kitchen. Im sure you have insurance but for it to be valid you have to make sure your in compliance. Again every country is different but the one things that’s the same is when you have a problem it’s too late so god forbid a fire breakout with the confusion and smoke one get very confused so you need clear exit signs that light up separately in case of emergency, a second exit so not depending on one way out is imperative… I had to make a plan to exit 30 staff and trust me when lights go out one loses coordination. In my case I brought the Fire department in a reviewed the floor plan and we provided a copy of the current floor plan , they then plan on height of equipment they need to bring in and how far in they need to go in to bring anyone out including pets. I know it’s not the fun stuff but what’s the value of a loved ones life, right? You can buy emergency rope ladders you (make sure long enough) from Amazon … fire extinguisher at least three on your level … Tony and Tracy need the same precaution although they can easily run out the door you are dealing with three levels and wood like kindling … please take this to heart
Agree. I am in an attic apartment. Only one door, one teeny deck porch up a flight. If that deck were to collapse, or a fire blocked my exit path-yikes! I bought a chain link fire ladder to keep near the bedroom.
Considering what it was like 2 years or so ago, that is an amazing transformation. Puts some other chateaux with multiple 'helpers' to shame. The four of you, with occasional extras, to have done that and the cottage.. Blimey!

But, the level of work you put into the renovation was enormous. I was getting exhausted watching you cut out the drywall angles and shapes to fit between the beams and joists. I have to say, this reno is by far,one of the best ones I’ve ever seen. You’re taste in decorating is so gorgeous for a nice sized apartment. I would be so happy to live there. Your hard work is really paying off. The hallways are beautifully painted and decorated.

Wow, the rooms and the corridor turned out so very beautifully. I love the lower ceilings to create warmth and coziness. Each room is a work of art with all the detail work including the widow seats and the trim work. Terry, your upholstery work is exquisite. If I were Pandora, I wouldn't want to leave those rooms either.
I was afraid that the ceiling was going to dominate the space but it's stunning and comfey and I know you are going to be very happy there. I love it.!

The third floor tour was amazing. A brilliant idea showing the layout walking backwards. It provided a good ‘feel’ that words can’t express. Looking forward to the bathroom reveal on Sunday! I recall the tub being carried up and know it will be spectacular👍🏻❣️

Your 3rd floor apartment is gorgeous. With wood in the turret , the door, ceiling height, and warmth of the hall and rooms was like being on a yacht! Looking forward to seeing the bath and kitchen. One can only imagine what the rest of the chateau will look like in the end. Bravo.

IMPORTANT: Ok I have to say this from a place of love, respect and admiration for you both not to scare you. I don’t see any fire extinguishers or hydrants anywhere outside. Especially if you going to use as a home with a working kitchen. Im sure you have insurance but for it to be valid you have to make sure your in compliance. Again every country is different but the one things that’s the same is when you have a problem it’s too late so god forbid a fire breakout with the confusion and smoke one get very confused so you need clear exit signs that light up separately in case of emergency, a second exit so not depending on one way out is imperative… I had to make a plan to exit 30 staff and trust me when lights go out one loses coordination. In my case I brought the Fire department in a reviewed the floor plan and we provided a copy of the current floor plan , they then plan on height of equipment they need to bring in and how far in they need to go in to bring anyone out including pets. I know it’s not the fun stuff but what’s the value of a loved ones life, right? You can buy emergency rope ladders you (make sure long enough) from Amazon … fire extinguisher at least three on your level … Tony and Tracy need the same precaution although they can easily run out the door you are dealing with three levels and wood like kindling … please take this to heart
Agree. I am in an attic apartment. Only one door, one teeny deck porch up a flight. If that deck were to collapse, or a fire blocked my exit path-yikes! I bought a chain link fire ladder to keep near the bedroom.
Considering what it was like 2 years or so ago, that is an amazing transformation. Puts some other chateaux with multiple 'helpers' to shame. The four of you, with occasional extras, to have done that and the cottage.. Blimey!

You created a beautiful home for the two of you. Wow, it was so well thought out and every detail is perfect. To think how it was when you started the renovation to what it is now, night and day. But, the level of work you put into the renovation was enormous. I was getting exhausted watching you cut out the drywall angles and shapes to fit between the beams and joists. The color you chose for the walls in the hall is soothing and relaxing. It’s just what you need at the end of a long tiring day.
