Does anybody else get a sad and nostalgic feeling listening to this? It has an "end of the journey" feeling because it was on the last level and we just got to relax in the Dr Monstraa.
The end of the line, never quite felt the same when I played new games. It truly was the end :( 11 years later, still can't fill the void that this game left in my heart.
Damn i actually cried, this really was the end of a voyage hitting this level is something i will never forget. I am now 18 and im gonna replay NFM & NFM 2
What the fuck, yesterday i played this game forever and took me forever to reach the final stage, now i listen this song and remember the reward for everything... i will be 25 years old tomorrow and have a small tear while listening to this song
God, the nostalgia. I remember first playing this game back in December 2006 on ArcadeTown. It took me a while to pick up on the fact that the last level was about destroying the other cars.
Hey look, you can win any way you want. I think probably the closest thing to mapping a speedrun I ever did was figuring out how to win on every stage with Nimi.
This really is one of those games that sticks with you. Played through it again recently and finished by wasting myself and wow caninaro at the same time.
I feel nostalgic for a time I wasn't even part of. I mean I still have both games downloaded and played them both about a week ago, but there's just a weird feeling of something not being right. I'm homesick, even though I'm sitting in my room.
The tune is an Amiga module called "Oberheim Power" by Emax/Tristar & Red Sector Inc. (Benjamin Petersen) made in 1992 and the sound quality was largely better on the Amiga, 13 years before the game was out 😁. Here is a REAL proper version of this tune recorded from the original module : th-cam.com/video/PfpQ9NLaS-8/w-d-xo.html . The other tunes in this game seem to be Amiga modules too.
The bad sound quality makes it even more nostalgic.
Not really, because this is how the original music sounded in the game.
2005*
this music is way older than the game and stored in higher quality, it's from the amiga demo scene in the late 80s/early 90s

NFM was the most fun racing game I ever played.
nfm, the burnout games and burnin rubber 4 were my favorite racing games
NFM and the originial death rally with the 8 bit graphics were my two childhood games.. so much memories of these two
The end of the line, never quite felt the same when I played new games. It truly was the end :(

Good ol' 2010 when I first played this game.
Still play it to this day, even this version.
i really feel if this tune wouldv been a song with lyrics and a singer in 80's it wouldv been ultimate HIT^^
Always cherish a memory where this plays as the camera pans around my car mid air with camera flashes celebrating my epic spin

I miss Need for Madness, I like the second game but I prefer the first game, I love the soundtracks of the game
I never heard this in Need for madness 1. only the last stage in number Too (2)
+yakup3311 It's at the last level of Need for Madness.
I still wonder why it plays in NFM Multiplayer then.

Where does the maker of this game get the music.
he got it from modarchive.org i believe, almost 20 years ago i want to say
Yeah what racing said, though he does remix them to fit the game better.

This track reminds me so much of One More Year by Tame Impala
