Can't wait till BVB comes to calgary in February, It will be my first live show I've seen and I'm super stoked that it's going to be my favourite band, BVB.
when i hear the songs, i go" damn this is cool." I watch your videos and reality hits how much work goes into playing these songs but its still cool to try it. thanks for the videos man My friends and i are going to cosplay Black Veil Brides and we all chose our band member and im cosplaying as you. going to be so much fun!
Thanks for these lessons, they are awesome. It's really cool to see and hear the songs broken down. For now I'm just observing but I'm planning on learning to play soon (I already play piano and violin) so hopefully guitar won't be a nightmare to learn :)
I really appreciate the time you put into your vids I'm only 12 and bvb is a big inspiration I've just started with guitar so thees vid help a lot cheers Jake :)
Jake, I think this is the most easiest guitar tutorials I have watched and have practiced at home. The others are awesome! Can I ask you something? Does Jinxx have violin and/or guitar tutorials? My sister (eldest one) asked that.
Jake that's was awesome thank u for video cording and showing us the chords to play.....I've got the coffin u video cord.......and I have one question for u if I may ask?
Badass vid as usual! I love the fact you have out takes at the end, they make my day haha. Is it possible you could do a tutorial for Crown Of Thorns and Walk Away? I'm in love with the guitar on Walk Away and have tried to learn it by ear but I've had little success so far (I managed a bit of it before I got too annoyed with my really bad guitar retuning itself back up to standard...)
Hey Jake. I don't know when and if you get these. I have 2 questions for you. 1 what main scales do you use for your songs that your write or what is the most comon scale? Second. I was wondering if you could do a video of "Crown of Thorns"? I've been trying to play it by ear but can't quite get it. It's a new favorite from you guys and would love to play it. Thanks!
Jake would have you do a lesson video of the song Last Rites thank you for making video lessons of the songs I really like them someday could make videos from the album We Stitch These Wounds Thank you.
youre a really talented guitarist, makes me want to learn guitar but my parents won't let me now as i quit 2 years ag because i wasnt learning anything useful xD
JakePittsBVB jake you should do some guitar vids of some of the songs from we stitch these wounds like the song we stitch these wounds, and heaven's calling! Thatd be awesome
Jake, I just started playing guitar about a month ago, I am self taught, but after doing scales and chords over and over again I'm not very sure where to go from here. Do you have any suggestions? If you do, that would be awesome, Black Veil Brides is my favorite band.
Awesome video. Helped give me more of a direction on how you play the leads. Saw you guys at the Wiltern. You guys kicked ass. Should add "Devil In The Mirror" on you setlist :D
Kick ass man! awsome song!! love the Riff btw it has some sick power to it:) Dude it would be amazing if yu did a lesson on Stolen Omen or World of Sacrifice!!:) Love those tracks. keep up the good work. Ps. I think its awsome how yu do more things for us the fans then other bands :)
Hey man, I play electric mainly and the tuning that I always use is Drop C Sharp(comfort reasons since it offers a great amount of heaviness and great highs that don't sound too muddy but not too..."standard" I suppose). When I see you strumming/riffing, it seems like you have a great amount of tension on your strings. Whenever I play, my low strings feel slightly floppy and so do the 2nd and 3rd strings. I currently use D'addario strings(comfort reasons once again) specifically, 12-60 and I was wondering what gauge strings do you use(I have a 25.5 inch scale btw and like a high amount of tension while still being able to bend my strings without restraint).
Well, I'm not Jake but I do know that he uses D'addario EXL140's (10-52 Light Top/Heavy Bottom) and switches out the .52 for a .54. That's what I use personally and I find it works best for me regarding how tight everything plays. You can try it out and see if it works for you. Looked at plenty of forums and found that most people use 10-52's for Drop C# as well. Regarding the .54 string, there's only one set on the market that I can think of that does a 10-54 and that's the Gibson BB King set. So you could try that out if you're looking to save money and not buy an extra string or you could go for the D'addario's, since you already use that brand and would most likely prefer it, and buy a single .54. Hope that helped :)
Hey, just a question. How would one get to your level with guitar? As you might suspect, given the question, I just began learning guitar and all I can think about is, how far I have to go before I get to your level. Any general advice for a beginner. I realize that you simply don't have time to go over EVERYTHING but some expert tips would be awesome!!! :) BTW BVB 4 is an amazing album! You guys all just slayed it the two times I saw you on the Black Mass tour!
Do you think you could do another sweeping lesson video? maybe put in some various practicing techniques so that people can try them out and see what works for them? :)
Heyy Jake can you maybe give me some pointer's for how to play that song on just a normal guitar and can you tell ANDY that I am a huge fan of his batman tattoo
Hey Jake, could you please do Walk Away? I truly love that song! It'll probably hard to do a tutorial of that song, because the solos are long and so... But it'd be awesome if you do that!
You're one of my favorite guitarists Jake. May you try to do new religion I know it's from two albums ago but if you could I would really appreciate it. And can't wait till the Fillmore on the 29th!
Please use a guitar that has fret markings on your tutorials-- it i so difficult to count backwards from the 12th fret to figure out where your fingers are exactly
I'm trying to follow the chorus, the rhythm seems to be 8 bars but the lead goes over into a 9th. I would have though the last 2 notes on the lead would match the 2 on the rhythm. I can't hear any overlap in the song though?
1.Your guitar lessons are awesome (seriously) 2. Please upload a lesson of "in the end" and "crown of thorns" . Of course when you are free from tour. But please look after this :)
Awesome video, love the lessons. Do you have any cool kemper profiles you can share or already sharing. Would love to use some of your tones thanks. Also any Kemper tips would be greatly appreciated.
