  • In episode two we revisit an old favorite. The Tokyo Marui MK23 has always been a fan favorite when it comes to players that enjoy stealth or fans of a certain video game franchise.

I just want someone to make a blowback version of the MK23. I know one company used to make one. Think it was umarex possibly but they are impossible to get hold of now as they no longer make them from what I know. Or at least definitely not available in the UK anywhere.

God I wish someone would make a decent GBB MK23 with a steel slide

I just dream with a gbb version of the MK23 made by Marui, or vfc, or... ghk (the KSC/KWA is a total dissapointment).

Laylax red and purple valves are uber temperamental based on your psi. The purple bulge out at 100psi and the red had less flow than the stock tm valve for my mk23s :/. Otherwise I kind of avoid laylax parts for the mk23. The laylax barrel wears down rapidly, the bucking while great in its heyday is now very outdated in design compared to a modify or maple leaf, the laylax outter barrel doesn't have much use when there's so many more suppresor options such as the sniper mechanic hex that come in 14 and 16mm thread, the short trigger on the laylax only works well with duster gas. Laylax does cool designs but there mind set is really limited by Japan's 1j law. They have fallen behind the rest of the world as here in the stated and even in the uk we run higher power and have really pushed the mk23. For example with a range finder and .45bb at 1.15 j I'm hitting 250ft but I swap to the 9ball purple bucking and standard hop arm and it's 150-200ft and that's lobbed as it just can't hop the .45 well. I totally get your catering to the Japanese market but it would be nice to see some more for the rest of us and also some admittance to the other parts out there. Your smart and good people I just feel bad when I see people drop the funds on your parts for there mk23 and then get flabbergasted when they see what the mk23 can actually do with the parts the rest of the world made.

Interesting takes you have on all of this but few things. 1. Our valve we use in this build is optimized for green gas, can't even sell it in Japan so there's that. 2. Barrel wearing down, interesting comment, can you share more as to how our stainless steel inn barrels ware down, what is the volume of fire are you doing with them? Finally, for buckings, when you compare them to our competitors, are you comparing them in terms of same weight, same environment and same materials? If you look at the materials used, often times you will see the materials used in our buckings are thicker especially for slightly longer usage. While many of our parts are designed for Japan, there are also many that are designed for overseas ONLY. When looking at our parts and selecting the right ones for you, it's important to make sure you are using the right parts for the right location. I am very interested to hear more from you, it's a great opportunity for me to share your findings to our engineering team! is there a disadvantage to the lightweigt trigger set?
