I think this may be one of the better outcomes that Louisville could’ve had going into the Notre Dame game. The team leaves this game with a win and a score that on paper looks like we handled GT fairly easily. BUT the win wasn’t a domination that makes us go into ND cocky, leaves us a lot of film on how we can be better, puts a bigger drive into the boys. Still wish the line looked better, we didn’t have the injuries, and our mobile QB problems weren’t so bad but it wasn’t a terrible result
My only problem with the game from a critical fan perspective as far as outlook for rest of season is Chaney being the lead back.. he lacks the burst from the backfield to be an effective 1st down runner.. too many times we would be looking at 3rd and 7+ because he couldn’t get the yards to get the ball rolling. He’s an obvious short down back to me. Other than that we looked good. We also have to figure out stopping the running qb before next week with Riley Leonard being a problem in the run game as well.. Go Cards!!
If the officials would not have allowed that GT timeout that was called after the snap it would have saved us a ton of headache and a safety. The officials were dogshlt that game.
Was a hot one but glad I was there to support my cards and watch them take care of business. You could tell GT wanted that game badly
I’m hoping our starters are all available for the next game. So many ppl left the GT game early with an injury
GT is a legit top 25 talented team and Louisville handled business, period.
Referees gave Tech too much opportunity for me to say that the game was fair for both teams. Poor Ashton Gillotte was getting screwed out there
