1) she didn't go into emergency, 2) thats the whole point of restrictive speed 3) its funny how her conductor is clueless when she's asks for a big car count
No problem. I have a few railfanning vids up on my channel, and I plan on doing more. The problem is, however, is that I mainly film elevators and don't go railfanning too often.
It would be a great video were it not for the play-by-play wannabes, who don't know when to keep quiet. You would think that is this day and age, with the technology we have, that the track signalling system wouldn't even give that train a clear to approach signal with another train too close ahead of them, and it could also have warned the dispatcher. Is this another case of a corporate entity cutting too many corners?
At CP ASH, trains going into the depot get a RESTRICTING signal indication, which means trains must proceed at a speed that allows stopping within half the range of vision, not to exceed 20mph. Engineer did everything correctly. Shit happens, dispatchers make mistakes too.
Why don’t you quit being an ass and pay more attention to the video? Who cares about the talking? I would feel the same way if a train was switched into the path of another passenger train
I find it ignorant when the train backs up and the people walk around the train. They start yelling omg omg omg. You realize that's what people always do?? I have had people drive around my train and in front of me all the time
it ended up coming back on the same track anyway I don't even see the other train that it supposablly came close to not saying anything bad or anything just saying it ended up coming right back to where it was the first time only the 2nd time it kept goin
TheKwtrucker nah bud, what happened was it was lined into Track 1 where the other train was stopped, it backed up, and switch was re-lined for track 2.
Fun to overreact and bexcited! Musthe train back a certain minimum distance from the switch for it to be changed? We have seen plenty of train. Why not show the switch points move? Why not also show the other train?
Wow! Ive been looking for this FOREVER! I watched this when I was 4! Now im 11!
Thaks you for the support!
Well I mean of course! This video was my favorite train video! Im glad its still around!
@@Error-pe3rqFunny, I have such a similar story. First saw this when I was 7 years old. Now I’m 19 haha. Glad I finally found it again!

I found this video long before I had a TH-cam channel, and it's still one of my favorites. It even inspired me to get a scanner! Nice catch!
Nice! Glad I could could inspire some future rail fans! Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

AmtrakRailfan117 x
You film elevators..
Ah, always gotta watch the classics every once in a while..
Holy fuck, the reason why sand is on trains is for the traction needed because of the extreme amounts of foam on the track...
They sound like girls with deep voices....
dogmannz What the fuck?
what??lol
@@dogmannz oh shit

I was like 9 foo stfu
no you stfu

I can't count how many times Ive had to let dispatch know about little fan girls like this along the tracks.
XD aight bruh. On a video from 2011

When you are recording audio along with video - keep your mouth shut!!!
Why don’t you quit being an ass and pay more attention to the video? Who cares about the talking? I would feel the same way if a train was switched into the path of another passenger train
Yep I've seen this happend before on a BNSF! Anyways nice job for saving the day and cool video
This happened with 2307 and Amtrak Sc44 2119 last week, I was there but didn't have my camera to film it.
I do Know That SDrailfan also filmed this on Video but He remove it off of his channel along with Other Train Videos that He uploaded. I wonder Why?
That disspatcher was pretty stupid for lining him into track 1 when there was another train on that track
nsheritage 8105 even with the dispatcher doing that it is restricted limits.
Shawn Steele Yea really messed up
Wyatt Baumann wow thanks captain obvious
Wonder why it didn't go of the other track earlier..
even thoe this video is old OMG!!! OMG!!!! OMG!!!! over reaction big time dont make a mountain out of a mole hill
Good video
Sorry about this train almost going into the rong platform when anther coaster was are ready there but st least they fixed the problem
it sound like a grill engineer too
it good to see a grill who like to driver a train like this
you don't see girls engineers often
That was scary. I will do the same thing when this situation happens.
Amtrak and AWVR Fan Please don't. You'll look an idiot to the crews
They do. The emergency brake was most likely not applied, rather the automatic brake.
2309 was involved in another close call the other day. When it led Coaster train 638 to the yards, it almost hit 2 impatient a**holes at broadway.
I love 2309’s horn in this video
Was that XtremePadreFan talking in the video?
sick k5la. I wish 2303 kept its old horn but now it sounds like the train sim 2017 metrolink and coaster cab cars.
The trains are happy and safe!
very nice catch

You guys were so annoying to listen to this whole video.

ah ok gotcha yeah I didn't see the other train so that's how I couldn't tell that it was close to another one well least they stopped in time
Were you filming with Xtremepadrefan?
0:07 I heard xtreme Padre railfan talking
Thanks
Oh crap!
Take a Breath buddy i can tell your a Hardcore Railfan Mistakes happen
Do they even use the emergency strobe light anymore?
the red light above the 2 crossing lights is the light but they have been disabled
stopped is not a vary kind word gies
I have seen a Metrolink dispatcher do this same thing with a metrolink and metrolink. it was funny. or was at la union station.
