PM Magazine had the same theme music as Baltimore,s version called EVENING MAGAZINE which aired on WJZ TV CH.13(when it was with ABC before switching to CBS in 1995)until it ended in the mid 90,s.EVENING MAGAZINE aired at 7:30pm.
So Jeopardy in the Twin Cities Mpls St Paul MN aired on WCCO TV CH.4 at 6pm!! When Jeopardy! debuted here in Baltimore MD on WMAR TV CH 2 (when it was with NBC 1981-95) It aired at 4pm followed by The Joker,s Wild.A year or two later JEOPARDY moved to 7:30pm after Wheel Of Fortune at 7pm!! Wheel & Jeopardy stayed on Ch.2 even switched both shows & the times until the 2010,s when they moved to WBFF TV FOX 45!!
Why did Alex have to have bad genetics in his life which made him have health issues compared to Johnny where he seemed like he had better genetics which never made him sick every year compared to Trebek? Same for Alex always having issues in his life unlike Johnny where he seemed like it was the opposite? Also why haven’t the real show went back to normal since season 36 where the host and players and podiums don’t need to be 6 ft away from each other anymore the whole game? Ken still doesn’t bother to be near the players in their interviews and credits like Alex did, the world is back to normal since 2020, why is social distancing still on the show? Is Sony still super strict with covid protocols? Why can’t we fans have fun again with seeing them be together again and not 1 mile apart from each other anymore where the players have to walk steps just to handshake and hug each other in the ending? Wheel of fortune and LMAD and AFHM are still doing social distancing, but price is right and family feud are back to normal so what the hell is going on?
Too bad the Audio Daily Double at 8:56 was muted on a clue as Frankie Valli's look but don't touch hit: "My Eyes Adored You" wasn't heard due to a copyright claim by former record label Private Stock Records, LTD. And at 25:42 we will not hear the "Final Jeopardy!" think music from the 1960's as it was muted also due to a copyright claim by Sony Pictures Television which produces "Jeopardy!" in syndication, when it was used on "Jeopardy!" hosted by Art Fleming from 1964 to 1975 on NBC in its original incarnation, and in its 1974-75 syndicated series. "Jeopardy!" now airs on KARE 11 since 1999, and its sister game show "Wheel of Fortune" remains on WCCO-TV, as the Minneapolis-St. Paul market has both game shows aired on separate stations to this day.
27:36 reappeared in the video montage dedicated to Alex Trebek
Alex was more fast talking during the 80's episodes. RIP
Plus the audience seems more engaged. I like the energy here!
He sounded more like a wisecracking funny man, than an authority ,of course, in later years
@ copyrighted music
These are the easiest questions ever. Good grief.
As an old soul person for November 1984, talk about Polaroid colors of this Jeopardy set, a little retro VHS store vibes.
RIP Alex Trebek that hosted this game show on television.
So, Jeopardy! aired at 6:00 and WOF, aired at 6:30? on your station?
1:31
that times up beeping kinda reminds me of the showcase showdown wheel from The Price Is Right with Bob Barker
They sound similar. The board reveal sound effect is nearly similar to the showcase showdown rainbow wheel when it first debut in 1975.
Well, that sound is still heard even today along with the Daily Double sound. Although for the pilots and early in season 1, both were different.
Alex Trebek
(July 22nd, 1940 - November 8th, 2020)
“You are missed every day.”
We love you Alex
Zzzzzzz
@@hdayejrno more you pal
I liked it when Alex Trebek ran up the stairs.
You can tell this is an earlier episode cuz Johnny calls him Alex Trebek, instead of TREEbek like the later ones. 😂
Oh my gosh he’s dead
What happened to the sound during final jeopardy?

Note that the audio of the Audio Daily Double and the FJ! think music was muted
This is from a CBS affiliate.
😂😂😂Boy the late Alex Trebek is so full of energy on this episode!! He must have double dosed on his SNICKER BARS & DIET COKE,S!! HAHA!!
Oh my gosh he’s dead
@GothamRanger he was young
The music in the WOF promo was used in 1986 as prize music on WPXI Pittsburgh's franchise of the local game show Jackpot Bingo
28:38 Does anyone know the record for most eye blinks of the Merv Griffin Productions/Enterprises griffin in a single showing of said logo?
Do you have an episode of The Price is Right taped off WCCO from the same time?
What is the airdate?
11/2/84

1961 turned upside down is 1691.
The correct answer should have been 1881.
11/2/1984, as one player here plays on the Monday 11/5/1984 episode, as is archived on J-archive.
Anyone glad that Jeopardy in season 2 had contestants wait til Alex Trebek was done reading the answer?
