It appears that these days the separation of powers in the USA is extremely fragile where politicians and clergy ceaselessly interfere with existing laws and the judiciary. I would love for MSNBC to start a series on how women’s bodies work, with stories of the 100 ways a pregnancy can go wrong. Use the segments to link the importance of abortion/reproductive care as a vital part of women’s healthcare, stressing the life or death outcomes. Apparently, a large chunk of the public are hearing a skewed narrative and they need basic facts to shed light on why these draconian laws and bans are a threat to women’s futures.
I tell my own story alot about how medical reasons for abortions are necessary. While I didnt have an abortion when the dr told me that it was in my medical best interest I have had to deal with the damage it did to my body for not taking that option. I was already sick when I got pregnant I just didnt know what I had. I already knew I was already prone to collapses but I personally do not believe in abortion so I declined to have an abortion. I had a major fall when I was 5 months pregnant. my son didnt move for 2 days so I was terrified that my fall had killed him. In that fall while he survived it permanently damaged the alignment of my pelvis in a way that even now over 25 years later still causes me considerable pain due to my fibromyalgia. I also have to live with the fact that he, despite being male, has a higher likelyhood of it triggering in him. I was also forced to give him up for adoption because I was a single mother and I could not trust my body not to have falls thus possibly falling with him in my arms and killing him by landing on him. While I do not personally believe in abortion, my experience has made me very pro-choice. I made the choice to not have an abortion and I accepted the possible damage for that decision. I do not have the right to make that choice for another woman. Do I wish that less people used it for birth control yes but that is a choice that each woman has to make. And to limit it for people who have it medically suggested is just plain wrong. to refuse to give women who it is a victim of a miscarriage and who have fetal abnormalities is not pro-life it is pro-death and quite frankly pro-murder because you are saying a dead fetus is more important then the woman carrying that fetus. Your also saying that if a child develops a serious abnormality that will only make their short life is worth the suffering that child has to endure in the time it takes to die. that is not pro-life, that is pro-torture of an innocent child.

I'm sorry for your loss. These are challenging times, especially regarding the medical aspects of conceiving a child. It's not fair to place blame on a country or its people for these medical decisions. It has always been, and should remain, the decision of the mother. The natural development of a fetus occurs in the womb, and it's there that this miraculous process unfolds. This decision should remain the decision of the mother and only hers to make.

All judges that were appointed promised not to touch Roe v. Wade. They lied. A conservative court majority overturned Roe, kicked the personal decision of what a woman does with her own body back to the states, and ever since, certain states have been making or enforcing archaic laws against women that have been causing them physical and psychological trauma.
