After watching your first 2 videos on this build, I had to become a subscriber. I truly thank you for the amount of time and effort you devote yourself into these endeavors. I find it awesome that you're using CAD 3D in developing your projects. Having spent almost 3 decades of CAD design experience, it's impressive a self-taught individual is capable of modeling complex 3D surfaces, as you've mastered in AutoCAD. Congrats! If you ever want pointers in streamlining your design or assembles, drop me a line. I look forward to seeing many more years of bike builds from you, Kyle. Cheers.
While you’re doing those things I recommend looking at the forum page on installing the cb650 primary chain tensioner on the 550. It will help a lot with wear on that chain and longevity.
Do you still have the CAD file for the frame? I’ve found one for the 750 but not the 550. I’m working on a similar project and have loved following your build!
Awesome! Is the fairing a custom design by you or a part you will buy? I'm doing something similar and I am 3D printing the fairing plug. Because of the size, it's seventeen 3D pieces that will be assembled into a plug for the mold. If yours is a custom faring, what process are you using to make the final part? Thanks.
Nelly, The fairing is a custom design! I will be doing the same thing you had mentioned with the plug. It will be split into many 3D prints and bonded together. The fairing will consist of 3 or 4 sections that will be connected together so that the mould wont be so big and I can make the parts in smaller more manageable sections. Plus if I ever need to get to the engine I could just take off one of the sides of the fairing instead of pulling off the whole thing. Hope that makes sense!
You could give lessons on videography. You truly are amazing at constructing a great video and content.
Thank you!
Keep it up Kyle, your channel will blow up if you keep up with these kinds of exciting videos.
Thanks man!

Dude so excited to see this thing take shape. Great video 💪
Wow definitely an amazing project . The look of the bike is tops for sure.

Hell ya, you're off to a great start!
This is cool man! Now I'm considering going back to college for Mech E lol
