I have a small decorative suggestion for you Jen... Have you thought about intermixing the two different types of chairs at your long tables? I think it would add a sense of cohesiveness to the long table, plus it would look quite interesting if the two different chair heights/types were alternated.
I thought it would make it look more balance!
This is the mindful attention that shows a respect for cultural traditions and creates a space for family to relax and enjoy each other.
Because of you, this thanksgiving dinner was very pleasant and relaxing!!! I wrote a schedule down for each item I was making and when it was going in the oven and so on. I can't believe that I have never had a plan. My dinners have always been frustrating for me. Thank you so much Jen for all your wonderful and inspiring videos.
Jen, you have a great system! I so enjoy watching how you plan and prep and put it all into motion! I marvel at it each year. You definitely have a home for hosting and you do a fantastic job. Your guests will feel welcomed and will no doubt enjoy themselves.

Wow, your family is so.....formal. Everyone in my family works a lot so we try not to stress about the Holiday's since it's our day off. Usually just relax and watch some football and drink beer. Everyone pitches in and enjoys the day together. You guys take things really seriously! I loved the table set up though!

I started a thanksgiving/christmas planner this year after viewing your 2012 planner vlogs. My planners aren't as organized or complete as yours are but I am hoping that they will become better with each year. Thanks for the tips for planning ahead. I work out of the house, sometimes 60 to 72 hours a week, especially duing the holidays. The planner has really helped me to remember little things that fall though the cracks if I'm not as focused as I should be. Thanks for the vlog, I really enjoy each and every one of them.

To be so young you have learned so much already. I wish someone like you had been available when I was much younger because I always loved entertaining the family but I was always so stressed I don't think my husband or children have great memories of this. Your home is always beautiful and such a joy to see you share it with family. I am much older now and we go to my daughter's house where her husband and grown children all pitch in and help and it is wonderful to see. If only I had done that. Christmas will be at our house this year with family coming from Colorado so all children will be here. Waiting for your suggestions anxiously. Thank you so much for all you do for us.

Interesting prep! I really like your table set up! One thing I need to do is add post it notes to some of the items in my tote boxes...I do tend to forget sometimes where I had something the year before! Love this video...very inspiring! I know everyone's OCD works differently, but I would alternate the chairs -- tall-short-tall, etc. it would be a nice flow.

You should put copies of your lists from your thanks giving binder so that people could download it or take a look at it.
Using my Thanksgiving Prep Binder for the first time this year. I'll let you know how it goes. Also saw your video for the Holiday Planners and will get on board with those for next year. This is a beautiful table, I prefer it over the round tables (family is closer and no one is split up to other tables). Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm not sure if you've ever done a video like this, but in addition to your holiday prep videos could you do holiday clean up videos? Generally after guests leave there's lots of cleaning to do and lots to put away in storage and I'd love to see your ideas on that!
