I hope they don’t make kaminoians good, I prefer the legends version of them being a-holes. I think though that the reason Nala-Se let Omega go wasn’t out of sentiment but more to keep her and whatever research they put into omega out of empires hands for profit reasons.

@@karamshahin2771 that would explain why she protected Omega and let her flee in the end. Nala-Se knew Kamino wasn't safe anymore.
Also Omega could sense what Crosshair was up to, she knew it was him behind the doors, before they opened. Omega also got this perfect shot when she wanted to save her friends, but all the others weren't even close.

This episode was probably one of the best things i’ve seen. Crosshair walking out of the hangar doors with the clone squad with the piano was so unsettling, I loved it.
He was looking like the predecessor to the Death Troopers

The order turned the clones who used to be individuals into numbers. They don’t even take off their helmets outside of eating

even crosshair, he almost never took it off on kamino they were walking around and he had it on, it was suttle at hinting its there and hes less individual, and its hidden well cause its also a crosshair thing to do so people did think twice
Bruh, that method continued through to the Stormtroopers.
Yea it seemed to wipe away their individuality and made them alot colder and cruel.
The Clones we cared for and fought alongside betrayed us and became Stormtroopers.
Can we just appreciate that when Echo complains about the food fight thing happening 'again,' he could honestly be talking about the Domino Squad just as much as the BB. Cause that is absolutely something the Hevy and Cutup would have pulled during training.

Echo would also be used to other clones belittling him and his squad mates,
as even when he was a "Shiny Reg" with Domino Squad, he was picked on.
The animation in these is getting so good. Omega, as an example, had these little quirks in her facial expressions, like the slightly toothy grin she gave in awkward moments. The lighting, especially, is more beautiful than ever. I still occasionally watch the Clone Wars Movie and get blown away by how far things have developed.
Clone wars movie was fairly unfinished in some areas, so much so that when you watch Season 1 their is already a jump in quality since more time was dedicated to the animations.
@@Fi_Sci_ Yeah, definitely. If I remember correctly, it was a last minute request by Lucas and they mostly put together three episodes of an Arc into one movie and worked from there.
I like that she also mimicked Hunter and Tech's mannerisms a bit too.
@@Capelett I believe it was four parts or in this case it was five episodes in total. The Battle of Christophsis, The Padawan, battle of Teth, escape From Teth, and the conclusion on Tatooine.

Yeah, it was nice that they brought Freddie back in, but his voice did sound odd coming from young Caleb. Even though it was clear he was trying to sound "younger."
I suppose if this is all we see of young Caleb in this series then it's not a big deal.

thing is i watched this episode earlier today and went to play fallen order(very slowly getting through it) just to play through that part. So for the first time i experienced order 66 for fallen order,clone wars and bad batch all this year
It was so cool seeing Depa Billaba and Caleb Dume/Kanan Jarrus here but it was jarring to hear adult Kanan's voice coming from smol Caleb's body lol
@Judy B Yeah I think Kanan's like 14 at this point so he probably would have hit puberty but he physically looks young, or at least too young to have that kind of voice.
It's just a TAD too deep, like I can suspend my disbelief, but yeah it is jarring
yeah the audio book wasn't much better for Caleb either. However, I'm more disappointed how these shows keep retconning these stories. First Ashoka, now Kanan. Where Was Stance? The credits said Grey.
@@brucechmiel7964 Do you mean the clones serving Depa? I'm not too familiar with them so I can't provide much input on what the show may have changed but I did notice another inconsistency. Here, they pronounce Caleb's name like we do in regular English (kay-leb) but I'm pretty sure in Rebels it was pronounced differently (kuh-leb).
@@RSK9903 No they (this show the audio book, and the Rebels) pronounce it correctly. Please do yourself a favor and check out A New Dawn and the 12 issue comic Kanan the Last Padawan. Stance and Grey were the two clones that were closest to Caleb. They hunted him for months after the war. The comic takes place in two timelines. It starts out between the Rise of the Old masters and the Jedi Path. When the Ghost crew has to make a stop at Kaller. Kanan starts to have flash backs. The two stories intersect when Kanan has to deal with aspects of his own past.
j19 is the sector Obi-Wan decrypts from Eeth Koths message at the beginning of the Salucemi arc where we first meet Cut and his family.
Ahhhh so that is where this is coming from...I thought it was relating to the Galactic Grid. But J-19 on the Grid is nowhere near Saleucami
Yup, I went "J-19... why does that sound familiar?" Looked it up, saw it was Saleucami, and went "OH SHIT, are we seeing a return of Cut?"

@@grandmoffjake6871 It clearly doesn't stop there though - she sees crosshair's betrayal before it happens and knows it isn't his fault. Either she's some form of tactical genius/behavioural specialist or she's force-sensitive. Or both, but that seems unlikely.
The best part was in the cell, it looked like Hunter kept shifting then watching to see if she copied him again. It was so cute!
Wrecker naming his little doll Lula is by far the cutest thing in the entire episode 🥰
I got so hyped seeing Depa Billaba and young Kanan, and when Order 66 was already given i went "ALREADY?!"
Wrecker is the biggest kid of the clones and I like it , his personality is awesome.

I believe that in the old Extended Universe, Kamino rebelled against the Empire and activated their own secret programming to take control of the clone forces. It'll be interesting to see where this goes.

Naa in the EU the Kaminoans created anti-clones to combat the standing clone army and the 501st (Vaders Fist) was sent to put down the Rebellion
The Kaminoans made a new Clone Army with its original programming in order to overthrow the Empire, but the 501st Legion crushed them before they could make any moves.

I like how Crosshair is basically the first Death Trooper. The J-19 sector is from the Saleucami episode of the Clone Wars so their contact there is Cut Lawquane, the clone deserter who had a family with the Twi'lek woman.
I thought about the death trooper thing too! I thought I was thinking nonsense.

Crazy to think if Nala Se realized what would've become of Palpatine's actions beforehand, she wouldn't have gotten Fives killed and this could've all been prevented. The littlest actions have caused the future we see ep. 4-9, crazy to think about.

This made me lose it, I couldn't believe that we got to see Young Kanan/Caleb as a padawan during order 66
I think Omega has some sort of "fast-learning" power. She mimics Hunter, which could just be her quirk, and she picks up shooting after watching the shootout, and she was keeping a close eye on everything Tech did to pilot the ship.

I’m hoping Darth Vader will show up. He looked absolutely amazing at the end of The Clone Wars, imagine seeing him in action. Maybe even against the Bad Batch?
If they include him in the show, it'll make sense if he shows up during the very last episode for a few minutes.
If you want them to not survive. When he showed up in Rebels he had a reason to hold back and not kill them initially (he wanted them to lead him to the rest of the rebels).

I honestly got so hyped when Young Kanan/Caleb showed up, but then hot super pissed when not only order 66 happened, but when Crosshairs turned against them
I hope we get some shades of the Kaminoan rebellion like we had in the og BF2. Not necessarily open revolt but perhaps they will keep spiting the Empire in smaller ways like letting the bad batch escape since Lama Su said that they will keep an eye on the Empire and their intentions with Kamino

I love how much Dave Filoni is completely on the same page as the fans after doing this for so long. We all know Order 66 is coming, so let's start the show with it and then move on from there. And a lot of people would likely figure out Omega is a clone, so let's not drag out that reveal beyond the first episode.
Either that or he was thinking Omega = Clone was obvious. Unless a lot of children tend to decide to visit the cloners on Kamino.

omega is definitely the pre-cursor to all the force sensitive clone experimentation we see in sequels (snoke, palp) and in mando (grogu blood draw/experiments)
It's funny. My whole theory about Rey was that she was a clone of Leia made on Kamino and Snoke was like a half-Kaminoan half-human clone with some Leia or Luke DNA and we'd maybe find out the knights of Ren were non-Force-sensitive clones of Luke.

So recently I read the Kanan Comic and the chain of events are different compared to the show and I was wondering why, then I remembered that in the comics Kanan is telling his story by memory, so he could have missed some things like Bad Batch being there, I could be wrong.
That's a good way to look at it. The Order 66 scene and the captain's armor color are really the only inconsistencies so it doesn't mean the rest of the comic isn't valid.
@@collecter343 There's more to it than that. I loved the episode but it retcons the clone redemption arc. I also prefer how Depa goes out in the comic.

@@Kippynms Well the comic has been considered to be Kanan's official backstory for some time now. He's one of my favorite characters so that opening scene is about him at least to me. I think I'm going to have to go with the unreliable narrator explanation, that he was so traumatized and later his memory was clouded by his alcoholism that things didn't happen exactly as he remembered.
I'm calling it: Omega is Force-sensitive...possibly just by chance. Even if she's like Finn (so far) or Lyra Erso, and can sense/feel/interpret The Force, but can't necessarily control or wield it, that would still be cool. Great reaction, as always, Boys! (Said in Clone Trooper voice.)

Showing the kaminoans trying to hide things from the empire is interesting. Makes you wonder if Dave is trying to make the events of the force unleashed canon. By that I mean when the kaminoans made their own clown army to fight the empire...

It's interesting that they are going to J19 where Cut Lequain is. the last thing he said to Rex was that he was welcome to stay with him and his family. Perhaps this is where Rex goes after parting ways with Ahsoka.

In the Kanan comic Commander Grey and Captain Styles were Depa and Caleb's commanding Clones. They are the ones who killed Depa and then hunted Caleb down. Grey was the one who allowed Caleb to escape in the end after Caleb had been on the run for a while.
And, according to TV Tropes, Grey ends up sacrificing himself to save Caleb 😢😔.
@@erikolson4148 yes in the comic he did. But here I think they merged Grey and Styles and (I could be wrong) I think killed him off.

@@erikolson4148 I hope they didn't either. He was one of the few clones that was able to fight off the chip. Seeing how the clones behaved in the Bad Batch after order 66 was very disturbing, they were so unlike how we had grown to love them.

Don’t know if you noticed, but her last words were “Run!” Kanan’s master’s last words were actually revealed to us back in Rebels by the Grand Inquisitor. It’s nice to have that level of consistency

Loved how they told how Crosshair inhibitor chip was slightly kicking in making him turn on jedi executing order 66 & how he only fully turned on clone force 99 after kaminoans got him into medical bay on Kamino & boosted his inhibitor chip instead of him turning on them off his own free will.
The way All three of their faces light up when Crosshairs’ is about to shoo the knife.
This was an awesome episode and love your thoughts on the first episode of Bad Batch. It's even more interesting we got to see Depa Billaba and Caleb Dume (Kanan) in this episode and how Order 66 played out from Caleb and especially Clone Force 99's perspective. Plus, it was awesome to see the return of AZI-3 from the Fives/Order 66 arc, of course, I'm saddened to what happened to him and loving the character of Omega and what development awaits for her as the series moves forward.
On top of that, seeing General Grievous New model again, but this time moving makes me imagine we might get the rumored animated Star Wars films based on Son of Dathomir, Dark Disciple and possibly the Crystal Crisis arc very soon.

To make light of the Order 66 opening, I'd like to quote Cell from DBZA in regards to Kanan being voiced by Freddy Prince Jr. again:
"That is a deep voice for a 14 year old, my God..."

for the difference beetwin Tech and Echo, maybe Echo, that is more machine, can understeand and "talk" the machines lenguages, and Echo is the tecnical genius, for exemple, Tech can think a perfect plan for using a tecnology for the BB mission and Echo can execute the plan immediatly because he can hack and use the tecnology immediatly whit his interface clone/machine( sorry for the bad english, I'm Italian :P )
Yes, Tech is like Donatello, Echo is like Cyborg meets Neo.
EDIT: Tech is like the hacker who hits the libraries and knows Russian code from Chinese code, Echo is the hacker who lived in front of his computer until it was second nature.

Once Palpatine finished his speech, you can see him start to raise is head, his piercing yellow eyes glaring at the crowd. And that version of the Imperial March. So good. Also, the stand off between the Bad Batch and Crosshair could very well be taking place around the time of the stand off between Rex, Ahsoka, and Jesse.

Did you guys notice that not only did she sense what was going on with Crosshair and was able to pick up a gun and out shoot him when she never wielded one before but whenever they were taking off she was memorizing and watching every single button press it seems as though she has a photographic memory and is highly empathic perhaps a force-sensitive clone or genetically modified to simulate something close to force sensitivity.
Lord when Kanans theme started playing in that one shot

They should make a series about Kanan growing up after order 66 and how he met Hera and the ghost crew and they could call it Dume

This was such a great premier! I loved the Bad Bathc arc in Clone Wars so was thrilled when it was announced they were getting their own show! This had such epic pacing throughout!
