When we are provided we solid rear of circle camera footage (as here) it's hard to accept that the throwers are given the allowed full six metres (hammer exit from the netting) gap. It looks more like four metres. One can't help but wonder if possibly the day before the event the local council Health & Safety chaps wander into the stadium with their pencils and boards and engage in their own favourite sport of nail biting / nervously wetting themselves?
