Colleague of mine, who loves watches very much, said that watches, quartz and especially fully mechanical, are fatally incompatible with biking, and even more so with MTB! But could there be Tissot's hidden agenda here?
Response from Tissot about Gen 1 - T Touch battery changes... A $2000.00 flagship Watch when it first came out. "Since the T Touch technology has been upgraded, we do not proceed with battery replacements as we cannot provide a guarantee on the long-term functioning of the watch." "...we cannot provide a guarantee on the long-term functioning of the watch." $2K down the drain. "...we cannot provide a guarantee on the long-term functioning of the watch." A now useless flagship watch. "...we cannot provide a guarantee on the long-term functioning of the watch." Refused service because they can't guarantee it will continue working. "...we cannot provide a guarantee on the long-term functioning of the watch." They try to upsell customers to a new watch for more money. "...we cannot provide a guarantee on the long-term functioning of the watch." Told battery no longer exists and it does! (Lied to) Keep that in mind before buying any watch from this brand. They will drop service on all their products eventually.

@@digmsymii321 It all becomes clear when months later they spend millions supporting Tour de France. They get those dollars by cheating customers with sub standard watches. Over priced and then they extort more money for their PR stunts. lie about batteries not being available and charge insane amounts of money for new $1.00, dollar store, very common batteries.

Such an upsetting banal and useless response!
And a standard method to hide next up dialogue (contact us via blah-blah-blah...).
