Avoid taxis and tuk-tuks when travelling alone. Use instead MRT, BTS and khlong / river boat. Walk short distances, and you'll lots of spare money for a good meal at a local eating place.

Great job Bam. And you speak very good and conversational English when sharing your tips. No reason to be nervous. You’ve gotten better with the more videos you’ve done. I think another video Pi Chon should consider is clean and affordable budget hotels around Bangkok that are also in convenient areas. There are so many great places to stay in Bangkok that won’t break your budget if you know where to look.

Thank you for you all for all your excellent information. Last year was our first time to travel to Thailand and I took a lot of notes of yours. This year I am again flying to Thailand not only because we loved it but also your extra nice hardworking for us to share best options with low budget. Last year we went to the most famous places but this year we will have tight budget. Thus we will walk around in Bangkok and try to live like a local 😮 ... we feel nervous, though.

From a tourist's perspective, many of these local temples and markets are not close to the train station, and I don't want to walk 2-4 kilometers (there and back) to go to a place. I will not take motorbike taxis because I'm afraid that I will fall, so the taxi fare is expensive. There's also many dogs. During my last trip to Chiang Rai, I was walking to King Mangrai's statue. I got lost, and decided to go back on another road instead of the same road. When I entered the street, dogs started barking at me, and I was afraid they would bite me. I walked out (they were just warning me), but unless you know the side streets, you may find dogs. It's also difficult to access places, I still haven't figured out how to get to Koh Kret. Our pronunciation is often wrong/accent, so it's difficult for some Thai people to understand when we ask questions. I have no problem seeing non-touristy places, but sometimes it is difficult to find them. That's why we take tours and end up in tourist places. I walk most of the time, but after what happened with the dogs, I am more afraid to go down a side street.

Hi Chon and Bam. I found your videos are very helpful and genuine. I am about to visit Thailand in February, I would like to ask you some questions if you don’t mind to help me.
    1. I will stay at Chatrium riverside Bangkok, any local night market nearby? What the best transportation I can take to get there?
    2. After Bangkok, I will stay at Paviman resort in Chiangmai, do u have any recommendations for local market or local authentic Thai restaurants near that resort?
Thank you! I really enjoy your video !

Hi Bam, Chon, can I ask your recommendation for transport to and from Rajamangala stadium from Central World area. Since there’s so many music concerts held there maybe you guys can make a video about how to get there before a concert, and how to go back to downtown in the late evening after the concert end. Cheers.

  • @toyshanger8945

Nah you are good would have love to date you out 😅
The one thing to point out is it depends on the tourist objective. How many days.
Yes night market at tourist areas are higher but sometimes more variety. The local area I feel it’s better like someone like you were to bring me around, would have been happy to pay your share of meals just to be entertaining and educated.
Shopping like mbk I am unsure if there’s any similar stores.
Some notes also on weed, if you are going to other countries after Thailand, ensure your luggage doesn’t contain illegal substances which other countries don’t allow as it might be serious criminal offenses.
    Things to touch on
    Toilets
    Water
    What to wear generally
Where are the common exchange rates shops to go
Do you need to carry your passport with you at all times
Do most shops in shopping centers allow credit card if you not changing money
Claiming tax on expensive goods any procedure etc.

7eleven omg 😂 when I stay in Patong I go food store. Licker store get big boxes of Chang ore shing same have in bars .. Big bottles of water fill up in smaller one in Hotel . If not go oute I central Patong for party fun is ceper beer food massage 150-200 and eat in lokal Thai restaurant ore food vagons . Best is mokata 200-300. All you eat seafood meat desert's .. if you like Party in Bangla. Sometimes the clubs have free bar only pay 1 time like 500 . Some bars outside have bbq for free if pay for Beer I save a lot of money 🤑. To spend on charter fishing 🎣 😊

Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
