I have the same exhaust on a 2019 MX-5 RF GT. I've settled on the insert pipe at the mid point. Without any pipe in, there is a lot of bass, but the sound is more rice-rocket than anything else. Fully in (the "treble" position) the sound seems a bit thin - nice but thin. At the mid-point the sound comes closest to that sort of 60's and 70's British sports car sound - think Triumph Spitfire.
