Depends if the police station in question is a 'designated police station' in law. That means if it has a custody unit or not - it's all well and good quoting legislation but if you don't actually look into what specific definitions are and instead 'assume' a definition you're bound to go wrong. There is often a conflict between the 'legal world' as in what's written in a law book to what you would assume is the case in reality.

The cops used to beat people up during arrests and when in police custody for fun and then get the gang members together to agree on a false story. The issue with having multiple auditors trying to achieve the same goal is when you interact with the police it comes across as an argument everyone trying to talk over each other. It would of been a much better audit being on your own.
