I really love the Tarte rainforest of the sea foundation as well! I'd also suggest the Urban Decay Naked foundation. It's very similar with a better shade selection, a bit more coverage, and a pump!
Great video!! With the Lancôme powder foundation it is really good for those that want a quick, easy, and light foundation. Lancôme has for years been my go to and fall back for foundations strictly because of these reasons along with fact that once I put my makeup on I'm not one to bother with it again or touch up and I don't mind having a light coverage which this covers pretty good to start with but I've never had any experience with it as far as scarring or chronic blemishes. I've had my fair share of acne just not chronic and was always taught that less is more so I became very accustomed to natural light finishes.
I just got my Tarte water foundation yesterday and love it! So glad you did as well. Incidentally, the Chanel Perfection Lumiere was my favorite too. Too bad they're discontinuing it. Was wondering if you could wear the same shade in the new formula. In the 30-40 range, I found that they are more orange than the old formula. You look beautiful and radiant by the way! Zabrena, I also want to tell you how wonderfully the oil then the Castille soap worked getting stains out of my white, yet stained, Original Beauty Blender!! I'd been in a hurry a couple of times so I didn't wash it with my bar soap immediately after use. Yesterday, I tried the oil and soap method you showed us in your video. I used Olive Oil, along with Dr. Bs Castille Soap. My Beauty Blender looks completely BRAND NEW! You just ROCK, Zabrena. Thank you!
In my experience the Lancome Dual Finish foundation can be applied as a powder but works way better with a damp flat sponge. I used to wear it years ago and I loved it but now my skin is too dry for it. You should try it that way, too.
Great video as always. You got me on to the Chanel Perfection Lumiere and considering that I don't wear foundation every day, I went through the whole bottle very quickly! I LOVED it so much that I'd do my makeup on days when I didn't feel like it just so I could play with that foundation! I am so sad that they have discontinued it so like you, I'm now on the search.... I did get the clinique beyond perfecting and I just cant decide if I like it or not... I feel like it sometimes sits well and sometimes looks terrible... I wish they did Choix in the UK so I could get some ideas! The makeup counters in the UK are very funny about giving out samples for some reason.

My mom has worn the Lancôme Dual Finish Powder Foundation for years. It has a perfumery scent, but some of the colors are fragrance free now. It's a better foundation for dry skin.
I used the perfection lumiere for 3 years, so sad it's gone. Actually crushed that it's gone. I'm still on a hunt for a good foundation myself. this was helpful. ..

the only high end foundation I've tried was the Lancome the shades are endless which i love! I don't care for the ashy undertones in most foundations unfortunately. Next time can you cover the color ranges available in each line I'm sure you can understand the struggle in finding foundations being how beautifully pale you are .Thank you

I haven't tried the Tarte water foundation yet but I do currently use the Tarte Amazonian clay liquid foundation and concealer. So far Tarte is now the only foundation that my skin can handle. The only downside is that sometimes due to dry skin it does flake so I have to amp up the moisturizers before applying. Other wise a great product to use if you don't want to apply it all over the face.
Have you ever tried Estee Lauder Double Wear (1N1) and Double Wear Light (0.5)? It's the only foundation I don't need to use setting powder and lasting is insane.
I love the dolce&gabbana one myself even though I have dry skin. I do prep in a moisturizing way before but when you have dry skin you always do:) I find I like all their foundations kinda like Dior foundations same thing.

Oh, Chanel, you wrong! Everybody I talked to was into that foundation! The Tarte one really suits you, though. In a bizarre twist, Kat Von D Lock-It foundation has been a staple in my life lately. I know a lot of people complain about how heavy and cakey it is, but if you use a conservative amount and buff it in well with a sponge, it looks killer and it's pretty much BULLETPROOF. FUN FACT: I currently work as a barista in a local cafe, so I'm constantly steaming milk and transferring pastries/ paninis to and from hot ovens. We had our Christmas party a couple of weeks ago and I transitioned from an eight-hour shift to the venue with just a blot and a change of lipstick. Of course I also drank half a bottle of wine and two martinis and had to tailor my makeup to hide a massive hangover the next morning, but that's another story. I know you're either nearing the end of your pregnancy or your son has landed from innerspace, so we're all thinking of you here on the internets. :)

My favorite foundations are THE LAURA MERCIER SMOOTH FINISH FLAWLESS FLUIDE foundation and the channel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth Effect Foundation. Both very similar foundations, very fluid and light weight and last a good 10 hours
If you need fuller coverage with lancomes they do have another sponge you use as well. I don't know if you got that one and tried it? I find the cover is good and buildable.
I can't believe the Chanel Perfection Lumiere is being discontinued! That is my fav foundation as well and I just ran out, so sad:(. Also, I hope your pregnancy is continuing to go well, you are absolutely glowing!

Hi zabrena my very favourite foundation is Estée Lauder perfectionist youth infusing foundation as it has a serum in it , but I use an Estes Lauder Victoria Beckham morning aura it is illuminating actually has crushed pearls in it and it’s half primer half moisturiser! The two together on my mature skin looks amazing that’s why I only use those, hope this may help a mature lady regards liz x

I have really oily skin and I'm in Florida too, so I completely relate with the humidity! You should check it out, very quick to apply and lasts for hours. you should try elizabeth arden flawless finish perfectly satin 24hr one. i use it with out primer.

Great video, Zabrena, but I'm surprised you left out the new La Mer foundation. Was there any particular reason? I'm assuming there is because it's such a wonderful product.
