This is my all-time favorite Killers' song. I love the way the continuously switch gears, from hard to soft, from fast to slow. And there's an old love for a place in Vegas called "Sam's Town" from back in the '80s. Is it still there? While the strip was getting ever grander, there it was, just off the strip.... Maybe it's more about reminiscence, but I think my love of this is more about The Killers.... Sallie
This is my song, it means so much to me, love the energy, the lyrics, the beat(drums and guitars) and Brandons voice of course and I see London, I see my town, soon again. Just love it! :D
I just love the lyrics, "I see London; I see Sam's Town" and the great stuff that follows this refrain. For anyone who has a real appreciation of Sam's Town (a/k/a Las Vegas), this is a great - even nostalgic - song. There's no attributing for taste,eh?
I realize that it seems like if the Killers break up that would suck but a lot of times bands go on hiatus and come back together. This could be a real good opportunity for all of the band members to explore their own ideas. When they come back together they will no doubt be twice as energized and creative if that is meant to be. One way or another there will be concerts. Surely.
it's true. cause when they first came out, everyone thought they were british. and they were from london. but they're from sam's town. thats what that means at the end.." i see london...i see sam's town.."
I love The Killers - and I love Sam's Town. Maybe it's all the change-ups in tempo, maybe it's the clever lyrics, maybe it's because I love Vegas. Who knows? Why does this song haunt my memory and why does it often find its way into my brain? Just another ear-worm? Hmmmmm.....
this song is brilliant in the way that it seems they wrote it with this structure but is trying to break away from it. the last verse has a very strict tempo "i see london, I see sam's town" etc. and in the beginning of the song it has a very similar tempo. in the middle it seems like they are trying to break free from that beat. its soo awesome how deep this song actually is.
My sense of the situation is that the band will split up. I don't see that as a bad thing. You will get maybe 4 bands that make different music and one or two of them might be really great. I could see Brandon Spending more time in Vegas like Celine Deon or Donny and Marie Osmond. Who knows what direction the Brandon Flowers Band would go? I think more instrumental and vocals based, like Billy Joel but Brandon is ever surprising in his creative directions so we'll see. Creativity is good :)
I was just responding to internet buzz. Word on the street is that an indefinite hiatus is in the works. This is just a rumor. But it is a rumor. Part of me agrees with you that it would suck if the group breaks up for a while. & I am an optimist. & furthermore creative musicians who are allowed to explore some more individualistic music paths, could be a good thing. Because when their paths cross again, & they come back together to make some new music it MIGHT be creatively enhancing. Might
@moneyquickeasy you need not be so rude before you decide to be as the 28 people who liked it know what i mean being "real" killers fans, they played this acoustically on theyre recent tour and i was saying they should bring this version back
do people really like the abbey road version of this song better??? this version is so much cooler!! i have some mad love fo dat version however.... i hope dey play dis version when i see dem........in .... VEGAS!!!!!!!!! woooo jealous!!!???? naw i kid i kid all u killa killa fans el oh el
his outfit is SO classic. adorable. i love this.
The first and second verse are the best lyrics ever written.
he has a UNIQUE voice:]
the killers are greatness
Brandon is such a phenomenal vocalist.
the second "so why do you waste my time"
always gives me goosebumps no matter what version!
This song, Mr Brightside, All these things that I've done, Under the gun, and "Somebody Told me" are my favorite Killers songs.

U might wanna try W a t e r m i n d - "From the start" / "Other Side"
.
long live 4 the Killers !
They play very divine.
the sawdust version s good the sam's town version is great!
wow! Dave really goes nuts in this one lmao
I love The Killers - and I love Sam's Town. Maybe it's all the change-ups in tempo, maybe it's the clever lyrics, maybe it's because I love Vegas. Who knows?
Why does this song haunt my memory and why does it often find its way into my brain? Just another ear-worm?
Hmmmmm.....
this song is AWESOME cuz my name is Sam, but it rocks anyway:)
this is so much better than the acoustic version
i think the image doesnt match the sound.. it happens a lot =/
love this song!
I LOVE KILLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D
the escenography reminds me of the day i saw them in argentina(L)
I still can't decide which version is better, this or acoustic. It's really hard to decide.
the song is great and brandon is handsome
It's actually Ronnie Vannucci. ;)
this song is brilliant in the way that it seems they wrote it with this structure but is trying to break away from it.

I totally agree, but I think it's just his voice that can give anyone goosebumps if he wants to ^^ He just does that occasionally I guess
i will see them in montreal
WOW! DUBBLE WOW!
"Youn Know I See London, I see Sam's Town"
My sense of the situation is that the band will split up. I don't see that as a bad thing. You will get maybe 4 bands that make different music and one or two of them might be really great. Mad man ron is so tight on the skins
I love this song and did he mess up or did the vid skip?
The Killers for live

There was a cut in the song about midway.. like one verse was missing.. but who cares! ROCK ON!
iam seeing them in nottingham carnt wait!
This is by far their best song. The acoustic version's not bad either.
I love Brandon.
The Killers are my favourite band so im not critisizing Brandon but his voice is mentally of key in this song. Still love 'em though
...I see London,I See Sam's Town...
Rush!Rush!Rush!
plug in baby (live at wembley stadium)
it's actually a hotel & gambling something in vegas
OMFG!!! 3:00
No, they have just taken a break - they deserve it after touring the world for 6 consecutive years.
Is Brandon lip syncing or is it just low quality? There are some parts where he pulls the mic away from him and the song continues. Great song though.
@moneyquickeasy you need not be so rude before you decide to be as the 28 people who liked it know what i mean being "real" killers fans, they played this acoustically on theyre recent tour and i was saying they should bring this version back
oh...i didn't think of that...
There's still a chance.. ^^
its weird coss...like im totally into metal and an slayer devote...
but i fucking love the killers...
killers are awsome
they should always preform this version of the song rather than the slow version which brandon calls 'acoustic' with the slow piano work and stuff
theres a slower version? its that fast on Sams Town
i totally agree with ya ... im not a big fan of the acoustic version... this one is so awesome
Abbey road is awesome, but live this version is definately on top.- also a great song (:
@moneyquickeasy well it made sense to 28 people so if its a test of, "does it make sense" you're outnumbered by 27 so......
do people really like the abbey road version of this song better???
this version is so much cooler!!
i have some mad love fo dat version however....
i hope dey play dis version when i see dem........in ....
VEGAS!!!!!!!!!
woooo jealous!!!????
naw i kid i kid all u killa killa fans el oh el
@themack22 Yeah they are not going to break up hah
heard it before lol
maybe he means the ''abbey road'' version of sam's town
what happened at 2:01?i think he skipped the lyrics..
this is much better than abbey road
Please, Please, somebody help him to improve his voice! they are so good, it's so sad!
this song must be exhausting to sing ^^
the abby road version was a bit quiet for my tastes
jeez the killers probly gave someone a seizure at their concert
look at all those lights
LOL - dude..."no plans for an indefinite hiatus"
They aren't breaking up. And if they did, every side project would suck.
stop playing this acoustic! bring it back!
