Great review! Technically, ST is not a trim level. It's a package that can be added to either the Preferred, Select, or Essence trim level. I just purchased this car at the end of May and I'm really loving it. :) Oh, and the 1.3L Turbo AWD is not a CVT, but a 9 speed transmission. I believe the FWD has a CVT.

Thanks for the information. Buick does list the ST as a separate trim available on all levels, but hey either way is a pretty nice little SUV. Also correct about the 9 speed. We love it when our viewers help us bring the most current information to our reviews. Thanks for watching!

I am really glad that you guys show ingress and egress out of your review vehicles. It’s very helpful for us older and bigger people trying to measure a vehicle; rather than others who only show standing outside and then cut into sitting in the vehicle. Thanks guys.

Hey thanks. We’re right there with you on that, that’s why we decided to not only tell you but show you as well. We think it’s an important detail to share. Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching

This was my loaner car when my current 2018 Encore was in the Buick repair shop. I loved it! I find it fun to drive and love the body style. Should this be my next car?

It seems to be a very good small SUV. There are many competitors in this market. Shop around and compare price, features and dependability. In the end, it’s the vehicle that you feel best suits your needs. Thanks for watching

@@TwoGuysandaRide We are going to look at this (along with Mazda CX-5 & Honda CR-V) as a possible replacement of our 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek. While Buick may want to position this as luxury, no one will cross shop it against Audi, Acura, Bmw etc. Price wise these things are already heavily discounted and more close to Kia Seltos or Honda HR_V.
I'm seeing the Select trim with Experience Pkg and 1.3 engine in the low $20s -- which might make it a worth a look. I would not pay as much for it as I would the CX-5 or CR-V.

The New Buick is nice but we just reviewed a new CR V Hybrid that will be on our channel soon. Hands down, that’d be the car for my money

@@TwoGuysandaRide Price being about the same, I'm sure I would agree. However, there is an $8k+ price difference.

This model is way way way overpriced . At 37,000 dollars for a subcompact is ridiculous.

Michel KM I couldn’t tell if it was coming from the steering wheel column, which for a new vehicle I would hope it wasn’t, but it could have been a bumpy road rattling the camera
I live in southern Cali so I tend to forget what it’s like driving cars over potholes

Justin Troyer the rattling heard on the video during the drive is from the GoPro mount and not from the steering wheel. Hope that clarifies the sound issue. Thanks for watching

Perfect example of why American cars continue to lose market share every year to the Japanese and Korean automakers. Who in their right mind would consider spending almost $40k on this? A three cylinder engine that will be lucky to make it to 100k. All of the direct competition produce far better and more desirable vehicles. Mazda CX5, Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage all cost the same yet provide far more reliability and value in a higher quality vehicle. This is a vehicle strictly for the rental car companies and for drivers over the age of 70.

Buick knows it’s customer base. My thought is this car is basically aimed at markets mostly outside of the US. We get it too as Buick needs to fill out their SUV lineup in the USA. Thanks for watching

Disagree. Based on dimensions, this is a subcompact, not a compact. It is more premium alternative to the Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-30, Honda HR-V, Toyota CH-R, etc. and is about the same price due to heavy discounts. No everyone wants a vehicle as large as the vehicles you mention.

Being old now, i might consider this. The ones I’ve seen are way under $37,000. I think the old Encore is being phased out. My issue would be the three cylinder. This is an import, also
