Businesses should never be afraid to try new things to market themselves. 3. Be yourself, stay humble and celebrate your victories, no matter how big or small they are.
One of the new things businesses need to do is adapt to the online marketplace. Many do, and thrive, but many stubbornly stick to old ways and fail. Trying, and adapting, to new things is a very valuable life lesson.

Me I don't "just go anywhere" like most people do, I choose the small merchant's bakery, or shops as to give my loyalty and help the local merchandises, and the vulnerable hard working merchants over the big, already rich and powerful ones.

As a little kid, I visited Winnipeg, Manitoba with my family on a business trip. One night we went to a Japanese hibachi grill called Ichibon. This place was amazing in the setting of a full blown Japanese garden in the restaurant, complete with a running stream and pond with live Coy. The grill was in the center of the restaurant, and that food was absolutely amazing. I now live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro, and I have an Ichibon restaurant near my home. I could not be happier, and they have a great sushi bar too.

This happened to one of my favorite Caribou Coffee houses in Maplewood, MN on White Bear Avenue. I work for Fed Ex in the neighboring Minneapolis/St. Paul suburb of Mahtomedi, and this quaint little Caribou Coffee was the perfect quiet place to relax after working overnights, particularly on cold winter mornings. The rent in that shopping plaza was raised because of the new Hy Vee grocery store, which has a Starbucks in the store. The Caribou Coffee stated they could not pay the rent increase, and sadly closed for good. I really do miss that place, but the one up the street is very nice. Even if it is a bigger store.
i love these type of story's. this was a great story when the 14yr old girl help the restaurant owner and is so inspiring, i am so glad to see the restaurant did not closed down and will be able to continue on for many years, i wondered if they were going to ask the landlord how much it would be to buy out the property just to get her arrogant entitle a -hole of there back.
Even the 14YO must also save neglectful kittens and puppies taking them to the veterinarian animal hospital making them well, then notify the Humane Society.

There are some filthy rich landlords would do just about anything in the book to try to shut down the restaurant. I have seen one time even a newspaper that would find a filthy way to shut down a competitor by lowering the price to a filthy rich low and then once they get all of their subscribers that once the former competitor closed shop, the culprit raised the price back up. Landlords who chose to pull something such as jack up the price as a way to get rid of a small mom and pop restaurant should be arrested and charged with retaliatory crimes. Retaliatory crimes could be punishable by 10 years in prison, severe fines, or both. These small family owned restaurants provide history! And it's a trip back to the days of when small mom and pop restaurants were everywhere.
Great. now I am craving for a burger. Still, I love the inspiration. If this is indeed a true story, may it come true to many more people. As for Secret Diaries, keep up the good work. You may never know who you inspire, but I am sure they are infitite.
