I knew Royal cruised out of Sydney but I had no idea their port was RIGHT in the heart of everything. Very cool. Looking forward to following you on this new journey!

I got off yesterday but was lucky enough to see live love legs on the last day, it was incredible and the costumes omg, the costumes were so stunning I couldn’t shut up about it

Love the behind the scenes details - my wife and I are doing Ovation out of Seattle on the 24th and are super excited to check out the ship. Within the last 6 months we've done Spectrum out of Singapore and Navigator out of San Pedro a couple of times. First time doing the Alaska run. Excited. TH-cam popped this into our feed for math reasons - liked, subscribed. Keep up the great work.

I was on that ship in Two70 for 3 contracts and restarted the Ovation after the pandemic. Glad to see she’s still going strong.

Very interesting comparison between the Odyssey and Ovation likeness and differences despite both being Quantum class.. brings to mind comparisons I’ve read of like the 4 Iowa class battleships..

Kristine!!👋I know your time and internet is limited out there but I just wanted to leave this link here I found it very cool.. it’s this young lady’s vlog of her and her family’s experience on Oddysey of the seas last January!! In one section of the video they went to the show “Book” .. I was hoping to see cast #4 performing “Show Girls” but she didn’t catch any of that.. they mentioned the cruise director “Ricky” was very cool lol here is her day #4 link there are 5 all together.. I also found a vlog they were on Ovation like 2 years ago.

Do you get to use that nice gym you showed us on the tour or is there a dedicated one for cast and crew? Love your videos and your vibe!
This is the guest gym, but we are allowed to use it as the cast!

Some random questions for future videos:
1) How much do they treat the sewage before releasing it into the ocean? My main concern about cruises right now
2) have you heard of dance crew or others get fired? Is that rare? What do you have to do to do to get fired?
3) When you go outside while at sea - how cold does it get (outside the Caribbean, where I assume it’s warmer)
4) Is Sydney gonna be your most common port in the next few months? Where will you be going?

Your excitement is getting me excited for my next contract!! Also wondering how handover works with Royal? You mentioned that you are staying in an extra cabin until the current cast leaves... how long does that take? On my last contracts with Regent Seven Seas, the casts completely swap on the same day (the old cast signs off) and two people from the old cast move into guest cabins for handover!

Every ship is a bit different because of the length of cruises, on OV we’re doing 12 day cruises currently, so they closed one show at the beginning of the cruise and we opened one at the end! Then they sign off and we take the next 12 days to open the next show! Hope that makes sense ☺️

I was a Showgirl/Dancer/Vocalist last contract but it really doesn’t make much of a difference, different ships have different titles for performers!

Yes! I said she was going to in an earlier video because she was also my roommate in Miami! We get to choose ourselves because we have a few months in Miami where we get to know each other!

In my opinion, Sydney has the BEST sailaway in the world. You get to slip past the bridge and SOH, and go out through the heads. Gorgeous. I might be biased as I live here, but I'll die on this hill :)

@@kristinekugler some things you can do in a few hours :
Climb the Harbour Bridge (but it's expensive). Alternatively you can climb the Pylon lookout and museum for a much lower price. The view and experience isn't as good, but way cheaper.
Explore the rocks. Wonderful historic area right next to the OPT
Chinatown for great food
Botanic Gardens
Take a tour of the Opera House
Take a ferry to Manly or Tanronga Zoo
Do the Coogee to Bondi walk. Absolutely stunning coastal walk and should take you around 2-3 hours.
If you had a full day I would recommend the Blue Mountains and/or Jenolan Caves, but you wouldn't get enough time to make it worthwhile on a turnaround day, I wouldn't think.
Lots of attractions in Darling Harbour/Barangaroo
