Dr fan , if the reason behind the scarcity of private clinic in uk is as explained by u, can we try resolving it by the following measures: 1. Start a private scheme amongst hong koner people in areas with high hongkongers population, say Manchester. 2. Limit the operation hours to say 5 or 6 hours say from 12n to 6 pm. Hk gp have similar practice. Doctor deliberately group n book patients together within the same period. Sometimes it is for the reason to create an impression that the doctor is very popular. Here of course primarily is for cutting costs. Gp may use his time in another clinic or even administrative and paper works. Nurses n staff are only paid 6 to 7 hours. Costs reduced. 3. There are some community centres which provide a all areas for practioners like audiologists. It may be less expensive to rent such places. Other people may have even brighter ideas. I am sure the problem is not insurmountable. Especially hk people is known to be flexible.
A very good overview. I disagree with the concept of being able to pay for medical services to get fast track, this will effectively mean richer people can get the medical attention a lot faster and the NHS will need to allocate the staffing for that paid service which will mean the free services will end up waiting even longer. This philosophy is no different than saying if you’re poor you might as well wilt and die in the process and it is very much against the ethos of setting up the NHS so it’s one service for all regardless of your personal wealth and privileges. Of course there will always be those who think they’re so elite that they should be above others and pay to get what they want and that is still available in the UK but don’t expect that to come cheap as these medical practices have a high indemnity cover and staffing costs to pay for also.

漏咗幾個好重要嘅point：
1) 英國人覺得醫療係基本人權，所以基本上個個都係老馮覺得全部都要免費要政府包一個錢都唔肯自己出，所以絕大部份病人都只會去睇NHS，變相private 市場需求極少，學Jackson話齋，成本人工燈油火蠟都要錢，所以咪推到private GP appointment 咁貴
2) 英國人月收入太低，大部份打工仔稅後可能只有£1500-2000，人工跟唔上通脹，加上近年生活成本激增，租金水電煤入油交通食物 etc價格全面大升幅，仲有其他必要基本開支council tax, child care 電話寬頻費等等，扣除所有基本開支之後已經冇乜錢剩，加上英國人大多數都係月光族，餐搵餐食餐餐清，享樂至上搵幾多就洗幾多，零儲錢習慣，所以係冇多餘嘅錢睇private GP，另外好多英國人都係做part time 甚至冇做嘢純靠benefits，月收入就更加少，根本冇可能負擔得起俾£90+ 睇一次private GP，所以又返去第一點，變相需求極低，惡性循環

有國內朋友的太太是醫院醫生，也說國內不會有醫生私人掛牌，問題都是在保險。
因為醫不好的病人一定有，中國人人命大過天，病人家屬會找醫生麻煩，醫生一個人是處理不了的。只有由醫院處理這些行政問題。
這也導致學生不太願意讀醫，因為收入不高，工作辛苦，最叻的學生寧願讀IT或其他科目。

最近有移英朋友cancer去世，發現到去世不到3星期,，唔舒服驗血話冇事，之後去急症室，檢查完發現係cancer，但係都不斷做各種化驗，冇提供具體治療,咁就走左,所以真係好想知道，如果大病有冇得𨍭睇私家，快啲做手術快啲醫,有乜嘢途徑,謝謝鬆仔知道我哋嘅擔遮心,做左呢個訪問.,期待下集
有些cancer驗血唔準，未必驗得到。
某些cancer 是好難發現, 唔做驗血, 同 CT, Biosgy是好難確定, 如是晚期根本做手術都趕唔切, 冇得救,你話拖拉兩星期已經唔係及早嘅問題, 親身經歷由唔舒服開始只是兩三星期😢

💊🩺我哋4月來英，我在香港本身食開血壓藥，我老公食三高藥，來到登記GP及有關藥物，未見過GP就可以有一次過5次取藥的prescription (分5個月)，想知咁嘅情況下，幾時才會安排見下GP和驗血之類？目的確保藥物是否仍然有效控制三高問題呢？謝謝！

Book appointment 時清楚講明要見doctor，唔好等佢allocate，不過就要預等得耐，閒閒地4-6個星期
其實好多香港人係被人誤導左英國GP既運作，好多人講到英國GP要等幾日但其實如果去睇private GP，網上book完基本上可以即刻去睇, 或者walk in可能都可以即刻睇
有次有朋友病左等register個GP都等左幾日, 我同佢講如果太唔舒服不如去睇private可以刻睇, 佢先知道原來睇GP唔一定要經NHS
如果要用英國同香港比, private我覺得係比香港快, 但好多人拎英國public同香港private去比, 咁邊有得比, 就算香港睇public GP都等好耐...雖然真係比英國快既
當然英國睇private GP係貴好多, 但其實英國食飯搭車都係貴香港2-3倍, private GP都唔例外

其實英國的確稅好重😂，12%NI，20%稅，養老金5%，完全當自費買醫療保險。所以，再自己落錢去看私家醫生，真係好唔抵咯。但係如果急都唔辦法。

其實冇話合唔合理，事實係政府提供唔到足夠嘅醫療，咁唯一方法就係搵私營醫療
美國call白車都要諗諗😊
英國睇私家是可以的，有兩間大私營聯網都唔錯，不過要懂英文，入網頁自己找心儀的醫生然後預約，也是需要排期，會係快過nhs 一啲。本人在英國十多年，有兩次大cancer, 做化療，都係多謝nhs, 照顧非常周到，周到到你唔信。所以不明白或未用過的，請不要詆毁nhs.

咁奇怪？常常同老人家去看政府街症，未見過護士負責看病。你是在哪裡碰到的？
其實現在香港看政府醫院的醫生都排期很久，也是先看私家醫生，先治療先，之後才繼續排政府醫院作follow up
通常要睇專科就係咁，睇傷風感冒的小病，睇私家或去政府診所都好快，即日都有得睇。
香港睇私家book 咗時間都要等成個鐘先見到醫生，跟住5分鐘出返嚟，再等一個鐘埋單攞藥，英國睇GP，約好時間唔駛等，前後半個鐘搞掂，對於一個病人嚟講，冇咁折磨😢
喺香港公立醫院專科覆診都試過見資深護士，病情穩定就照攞藥，有問題就由專科醫生睇返。
睇醫療集團普通科醫生，佢話每個病人唔可以超過15分鐘。
