    Thanks for the tutorial! I've recently moved from GIMP to Krita, and it's surprising how much easier this process is in Krita.

      Thank you for your view and comment . You are welcome . I am glade to here you are using Krita although I would like to point out that GIMP is still a great program and at times works hand and hand with Krita and other programs like the video editor Kdenlive .

    So after this how would I outline the text?

      Sorry it took me so long to answer .
      In order to do this you must add another set of text and another paint layer but first create what in the video .

      Once this is done in Krita create the same text giving it the black background sizing it up to the other text then go to tools and options click on solid color fill changing the color bar to a color you like .
      Add new paint layer merge with the vector text layer using eraser tool erase the black area of the text just leaving outline once this is done merge that layer with the one below .
