That is just beautiful, your wife is a very lucky young lady. Congratulations on the baby and God Bless you and your wife on a new journey in life............Loved the way you dropped this little gem on us with a "sneeze"
At first I thought this wasn’t you, like I subscribed to some random channel in a marathon water closet session... but I clicked on it and was glad I did. Congrats on your new baby. ✝️❤️👍🏼
Wow this is such a beautiful piece of jewelry for your wife!! It’s one of a kind and looks very lovely around her neck Precious gift I am sure she will wear it proudly ❤️❤️❤️
@@thehomesteadcraftsman8975 didn't expect it. Almost scrolled by looking for carpentry. but was mesmerized by the attention to detail. Beautiful piece.
Oh you little sneaky... CONGRATULATIONS! Beautiful pendant. You are so talented. I love the sneeze at the end. Great touch. Aw.... I was hoping you guys would have a baby, and you did! Awesome!
You are a true Renaissance man! Beautiful work on this....I almost didnt watch it because it wasnt the "usual". So glad I did...your patience and perfectionism is admirable.
What made you almost not watch and end up watching.....I'm trying to make some improvements going forward on a lot of aspects, your honest opinion would be appreciated.
@@thehomesteadcraftsman8975 honestly, I think it was the thumbnail picture( I think that's what its called). Although it is a beautiful picture, I wasn't sure what the video would be.
Congratulations on a wonderful new addition to your life and family. Oddly or interesting how you pick my son's birthday for your wife pendant. They are lost of work but worth every moment. Best of wishes.
I've done that in my sleep....in a dream.....where I had 1/10th of your talent. O. M. G. That was pure artistry.....literal poetry in motion. I sat with my jaw agape for the entire video. You, sir, are an artist extraordinaire.
BAIL! The word has escaped me for months, thank you. I had this whole talk with my dad where neither one of us could remember. It was a back and forth of "You know, the uhh, it's called a,......uh....the chain loop thing." Thank you.
Thanks for sharing. It is unique to share something so personal but to do it in a way that shows the process and effort then why it is so personal without any self promoting or grandstanding. Thanks
Did you track how much time you spend on this, im sort of curious :) Do you have a specific reason you did all by hand and not use electric or automated tools?
Simply fantastic, what a huge/big amount of work (has to be a huge/big love). Good grief, so you are a Goldsmith also? Extremely well done, nice present. Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing. Postscriptum: I simply love vids without talking or distracting music. Just the working sounds and a good craftsman is enough for my kind of taste most of the time.
Thank you. I'm fortunate to have learned a little bit about a lot of things and had the time to work at them and learn more. Making jewelry being one of them, then engraving and now working on other crafts that I can incorporate with each other. That's my favorite thing, mixing disciplines.
@@1806StoneHouse The answer varies.....but most everyone learns by just doing. Even when you apprentice, go to school, etc.....a large portion, I'd say the largest comes from independent practice/experience. With the engraving, my dad is an engraver, so he taught me, but it wasn't really hands on. He just explained basic principles and demonstrated. I've also watched him for years and have his engraving to reference. He does production work, repeating the same patterns over and over for limited editions on firearms, I started doing that with him, so that was a lot of practice but narrow in scope because it was repeating the same thing in a simple style. But a great opportunity to hammer form, technique. With that said, my engraving leaves a lot of room for improvement. For jewelry making, I went to college and got a fine arts degree. I focused in furniture design and metal, basic jewelry making. But again, as demanding as projects where I did twice the amount of work that I was required so that I would be better. A teacher is invaluable, but a great teacher still has bad students, you have to do your part. Wanting to do something is the biggest factor in my opinion. For all the house stuff, my dad is handy around the house with normal stuff, so that was a good starting point just to know or to never have not known I could not do stuff. I just bought a junk house and figured it out as I went. When I did get help, I would look over peoples shoulders, work alongside them and annoy them, etc. My first house I rewired, my help did most of the work, the second house I wired, I did most of the work....now I do it all. With plumbing, my plumber father in law here's from me on regular occasions. Again, it comes from all angles. Sometimes I just read the instructions. I'm also enrolled in Google University's Masters Program. My saying that I repeat to people is that "Complicated tasks are just a series of simple steps". For working on houses, I think this should be the idea to alleviate any fear. Wow, really got me going there, didn't you?
The Homestead Craftsman I can see how you wrote a book now!! Wow! I assumed you learned by doing.. trying, failing, learning. Etc. I’ve enjoyed your process and videos for years .. I really appreciate you taking the time to make them. 😀
Lovely! I hoped after you mentioned last year that a baby was coming that at some point you would mention a safe arrival. Wonderful news; congratulations. And, excellent and creative craftmanship on a most memorable gift! (ha, see what I did there?)
Having done some jewelry making, the most impressive part of that work to me was the bail (hoop.) Getting that part to come out well has so many ways to go wrong, Very well done sir.
Beautiful craftsmanship, I'm sure your wife loves it! and Congrats on the new baby!!! Also, I was hoping you'd be wearing the necklace, acting like it was your wife, to throw people off haha.
