- This video covers the Lobo Malabrigo Laiya Road. It is a rough road due to unfinished road works by the DPWH. The road was narrow but with beautiful scenic views of the Tayabas Bay and big rock formations. Along Biga area roads are more challenging as there was a small river to pass with, i guess water goes up when there are strong rains. As for the near laiya area, big rocks like there was a quarrying or something that occurred in that area. Small cars might encounter problem here and 4x2 suv mights encounter problem during rainy season. I guess the place is also prone to landslides as there were no rip rap made to prevent erosion and flooding on near coastal areas. While documenting this one there were no other cars trailing by and only encountered three incoming vehicles and mostly were motorcycles. Weather was not cooperating while this one is being documented. There were light drizzles.

As of documentation:
Road Condition - there are on going road repairs, few cemented roads not ideal to drive with small cars, prepare for muddy roads on rainy season. I dont even call it road repairs more of dirt roads.
Drive thrill - Steep incline, very narrow roads on some portions, beautiful coastal views.
Security - Not so populated road with few residential houses, resorts and i was warned to be careful plying this route by people from Rosario.

Passed by this route twice last year on a bike. Biked all the way from Kawit, Cavite and back. Sa ngayon naka ilang yaya na ako sa mga bike buddies ko na ulitin namin ang ruta na ito. Isa na lang ang may gustong bumalik. The rest, puro seen na lang.

Mabuhay ka kaibigan! I was in tears while I'm watching this video. Naiiyak ako sa dahilang parang napuntahan ko na rin ang lugar na ito kasama ako sa iyung joyride! Mga lugar na hindi ko napupuntahan ngunit sa pamamagitan mo ay para ko na rin narrating habang pinapanood ito. There are really many beautiful places to explore here in the Philippines. I will always love the province of Batangas because of its many beautiful beaches! I had been to Gerthel Beach Resort in Lobo, but that was wayback during the early late 80s. I would like to commend you for sharing those videos and I kept watching them over and over again. Maraming salamat po at naway gabayan ka ng panginoong Diyos sa iyung mga paglalakbay. I am quite surpriced, that such an undeveloped area and road can be found so close to Manila. This look more like something, I would expect in a remote corner of Samar or Mindanao.

been planning to go thru this route medyo nag-aalangan lang ako kung kakayanin ng innova nung 2014. thanks for blazing the trail for us..now i'm seriously considering pushing thru. siguro naman mas ok na conditions ng road by now.
though ang balak ko is to come from San Juan, go to Malabrigo then Tabangao.

When they finish the new roads, they will build tourist resorts everywhere, and ruin everything :( Glad you were able to go there while things are still rural and beautiful :) One thing I noticed though, when driving through deep water, keep your brakes dry or they won't work. Left foot lightly on the brakes, right foot on the gas. Unless the deep water is very long, that usually works

@@dmitrivalencia dumaan ako kahapon napakaganda na po ng daan mula simlong to lobo pero pagkalampas mo ng lighthouse may mga rough roads pa din under construction. Gabi na po kasi kami dumaan dun, wag sana kayo dadaan kapag gabi kasi sobrang dilim. Hehe.. pero mabuti na lang ligtas kami. Ganda ng lobo salamat sa vid mo sir, kaya nakapunta ako dyan
Happy New Year. I have been to that light house a few times as a child. My Dad grew up a walking distance away and my Lolo was a fisherman and Pastor there.

I haven't been inside when I was there Feb 2015, but outside it looks the same only I remember it being bigger, then again I am older now.

this year sir, try to add to your road trip list is the Baler- Casiguran Road, its a sea-side highway going to the Northern towns of Aurora province and an alternate road going to Cagayan Valley region; it is almost 100% concrete road and it has also the same picturesque view like with the Laiya- Lobo Road and along the highway you can find many beach resorts. Just sayin boss! Wish for a safe and more road trip videos to come. Happy new year po!

+dmitrivalencia yes sir, is now easily being repaired by the DPWH., as for security matters, it is safe; tourist from Manila and from Region 2 provinces come to visit these part of the province, for beach bumming and siyempre Surfing also. Typhoon and torrential rains last year make this road not passable so l highly recommended to take this road in summer po.

we had an update of this route, sadly not all is well paved yet :-) but there are improvements
