See the extremely big lap 1 difference! , but Tendonitis makes so much time back in laps 2 and 3. This track has a long way to go to being fully optimised
Up until 1:33, you can see that yellow is ahead because all their tricks animations start before pink. But at 1:36, their trick animations are synced up again. So within those 3 seconds, I assume yellow made some sort of small mistake that let pink catch up. But can anyone tell what that mistake is? I can't figure it out myself.
@@biotomato5469 Don't worry, I can still see that yellow is techinically faster, that wasn't my point. My point is that the difference is MUCH smaller than just 3 seconds earlier. As such, something must have happened, right? Instead of pink slowly catching up over the _entirety_ of lap 3, it (mostly) happens in just 3 seconds. Yes pink isn't _entirely_ caught up yet, but the rest of the catching up is way more gradual. The specific instance from 1:33 to 1:36, however, was *not* gradual, it was very sudden, and quite significant in how much pink caught up to yellow. Despite that, I can't see how yellow messed up, but I assume it's some advanced WR shenanigans. That's why I'm asking exactly what happened.
by 1:42 , yellow is still faster than pink by around .01 seconds. By 1:44, pink is ahead by around another .01. so its likely that pink got some form of mini kusaan slide or simply got a better trick line
@@ChromaDistortion It's true that pink also catches up there, but I can actually see what happened there, so I'll try to help you see it as well. Try going frame by frame from the end of 1:41 to the start of 1:42. Look at the black and yellow stripe that is being crossed. Pink yoshi manages to take a much sharper turn, going across the yellow patch right next to the fence. On the other hand, yellow yoshi takes a wider turn, going across the black patch to the right of the yellow patch (AKA, further from the fence than pink yoshi). So not a kusaan slide (as far as I can see), just a tighter line. But though pink saves some time there, I still think they saved more time from 1:33 to 1:36, though perhaps my eyes are fooling me? It's hard to judge lol.
Seeing WR ties is always fun to watch
