You guys are awesome. Thank you for this podcast. I’m 48 and heading to my first regional after 23 years of military service (rotor wing). I’m so excited. Got a family as well, and we know we’ll get into a routine and figure it out 😌✌🏾
@Ahmed-pw4tx computer science, and im in my second semester, it was my first choice, but i started looking into aviation at the same time as i was entering college, the cost of flying was the thing that hold me back, but i have found a school were i can take all the rating for decent price, im still finding out hot to pay it tho
thank you for this, this is the true behind the curtain conversations us men (and women) should be having. our careers are important, but we are also family people.
Thanks for this my husband is serious contemplating career change from mechanic for 20 yrs to become commercial pilot. We are starting later we are 38 no kids at the moment so this schedule is definitely doable for us however in the next couple of years we do plan to expand family and the time has been a question we’ve gone over a lot but for the money and ability to support our little family years to come it’s something we are willing to explore . Appreciate the truth from how y’all experienced it
Took my discovery flight on my 39th birthday this year, and I'm going to pursue my flight career thanks to videos like this , I didn't think it was possible. Thanks guys!!
As you allude to, hours are just one indicator, but days per month is a more accurate answer to the question of "how hard will this job be on me AND my family"...
Damn guys! Your timing with this is spot on! Switching out of healthcare into aviation and had to have the time away career talk with the spouse. Thank you guys for the insight and always putting such a real no BS approach on the lifestyle. Cheers! 🍻
being stuck in the house every day with your woman/kids I have seen ruin some men, that shit was too funny. Awesome perspective on the rekindling that relationship coming and going. Channel rocks, new sub for sure.
Another great video! There have been some rumors starting to creep up about airline layoffs, which seems very odd given the hiring frenzy that is going on.
Hello Sean and mike, I’m 21 years old and in training to be a controller. I was able to acquire my PPL in 2021 (at age 19) with the Covid money I was receiving. But once I got my license the money spout ran out and it’s been 2 years since I’ve been flying. My ultimate goal is to become an airline pilot or corporate. Was wondering if you guys know any former controllers that have transitioned into being pro pilots or controllers that fly on the side. Thanks so much guys! I have been watching you guys since January of 2021 and I look forward to every new pod
Hi, I’m an 18 year old college student at a university studying aviation business management with a pro pilot track. My family wanted me to start out with college, but I am realizing how college is a huge waste of time and money. I would also like to be flying more than 3 times per week. My question to you guys is would it be better if I went and did the Liberty partnership and finished my degree in Aviation online with an R-atp, or fast track my training and finish a business degree online which I have more credits for already
@@Ahmed-pw4tx I could probably fly an extra day each week but I would be finished my ratings by early junior year than just be sitting in college waiting for it to be over I feel like.

The audio is definitely mint! 👌🏼
Thanks again for the videos guys! Starting pilot training from a career pivot at 27 and you guys are a big reason. Appreciate all you do.
