    Your videos were crucial in helping me find the right car for me and I couldn't thank you enough for the amount of detail you go into! Saved me a ton of time not having to go to multiple dealerships to check every little thing out for myself (let alone the hassle of dealing with the salesmen). This prompted me to check the CR-V out in person and my family and I fell in love! Drives beautifully and felt shockingly powerful for what it is (comparable to the v6 in my old mustang, only much smoother). I just wish the ivory interior were available across the board, it's gorgeous. I'm so sick of gray and black is a nightmare here in California. I love the attention and care they put into the backseats. Feels like being in the front!

Spend a little bit more to get the EX, which has all the main features (Honda Sensing, keyless entry/w Push button start, turbo engine, moonroof, Apple Carplay, digital gauge cluster etc.) The only feature it's really missing is leather, which I don't want or need.

      Wrong, the Ex and above come with the troubled 1.5 turbo engine that leaks fuel into the oil. Get the reliable Lx which comes with the tried and true 2.4 liter motor and have no problems.

      The LED lights sold me on the top of the line Touring model. All the toys it's practically an Acura.

    • @rickscott5290
      @rickscott5290 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@paulfun8720 The EX still has solid halogen projectors though. Plus, they are easier to fix if they burn out. The Touring does have rain sensing wipers though. I would say that it's better than an Acura. Current Acura models are less impressive than current Hondas in my opinion. For example, the ILX is based on the last generation Civic. No clue why anyone would pay more money for an inferior car.

    This CR-V was the best redesign Honda has done lately. Looks premium (even has LED turn signals in the rear, which is not common)... I bet for the 2020 refresh, they're just gonna move the thick chrome piece in the center of the grill, to the very top of the grill (like their other crossovers)& that's it lol.

    Had a 2017 Honda CR-V. Loved the look and features but was plagued with oil dilution and lack of cabin heat problems in winter. Traded it in on a Mazda CX-5 GT. Way more HP and no issues with it. Upgrade for sure

    • @paulfun8720
      @paulfun8720 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honda is faster than the Mazda 0 to 60 they say. Mazda CX5 looks like a slightly inflated 2007 Mazda3 - size wise there is no comparison to the CRV. Upgrade indeed if you want less room. Also, the screen is plopped on the dash instead of being integrated into it lower down. I exclusively drive my 2018 CRV in Sport mode and its 10.9 liters of fuel to go 100 KM. I bet that is more efficient than the CX5 in Econo mode. This is coming from a Mazda guy from 1997 to 2018. Notwithstanding the oil dilution issue, the CRV will still be worth more as a percentage of the original price than your "upgrade". Resale on all but the Miata and the Mazda6 basically suck.

    • @jamesthomson3059
      @jamesthomson3059 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have had three CRV’s. Unfortunately Honda has lost me as a customer. The resale value on the 1.5L turbos is set to crash. A reliable engine is the most important part of a new vehicle. Only have 1100 km in my new Cx5 but averaged 7.6L/100km on my 350 km trip home from Calgary tonight. Plus the Cx5 is 250ho vs CRV 190hp so significantly quicker. To each his own.

    • @paulfun8720
      @paulfun8720 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jamesthomson3059Thomson crash you say ....that would be happening right now and it is not as far as I can tell. Oil dilution notwithstanding this vehicle won't suffer as much depreciation as almost every other brand. It's always been that way and won't change. By the way, did you hear about Subaru and its supermassive recall? That job requires the whole damn engine come out! See Scotty Kilmer ....ouch!

    I dont know if you would be able to answer this, but just behind the gear shift, there is a small USB looking indentation or a flap. Or something. What is that? I have not been able to find out what that specific thing is.

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is the manual release of the gear shifter. If the vehicle battery is dead and you need to shift the vehicle in N to tow it or move it then pop off the little plastic cover and use a screwdriver to push down the lever underneath to release the gear shifter.

      Dick City RAV4 has never and is not spanking nothing, especially not the CRV. Go look at the reviews, even the newest 2019 RAV4 can’t beat the CRV. I give Toyota props for trying though but the new RAV4 still looks weird.

      @@buildmorefarms1007 My 2019 CRV does not have the oil dilution problem as of yet. Of course people are never going to let this go, even if Honda does truly fix the problem. I suppose the only way to shut people up is to just put a different displacement engine in it and move on. Meanwhile, all the fanboys of other brands with issues will just continue to bash Honda. I guess Honda is no longer loved and people just want to see them fail.

      @@jasonbrown522 You make a lot of assumptions...you may be right, not sure...glad you have not had a problem yet but the what if and when is an issue especially if it finally occurs outside of warranty. In any case Honda should acknowledge the issue and fix it. So far they have not owned the problem and been forthright about it. Hopefully that will change because it is affecting many 1.5 turbo engines.

    There are many problems with the CRV and many owners are trading them in for new Toyota RAV4s. Honda has gone down in reliability and styling. With the introduction of the new 2019 Toyota RAV4, the CRV looks dated.

      Looks are subjective. The RAV4 looks like it is wearing a constant frown, unless you get the Adventure trim level, then it just looks slightly grumpy.

      In going and seeing the Rav4 in person compared to the CRV, I was reeeeally let down by Toyota. I couldn't speak for down the line issues, but comparing new to new? The CRV won with me and my family, hands down.

      @@corpuzone It's been a while since I test drove it, but mainly the interior. It felt very cheap and not all that comfortable. My aunt has an old Toyota van that's extremely comfortable and reliable, so I went in with high expectations. After that visit though, I felt like Toyota may be relying too much on their reputation these days because it was a real let down. No idea if anything has changed in the newer models, but none of us in my family could imagine long drives in it (but we also have big, tall men to accommodate for).
      Best of luck on your hunt! We ended up going with the CRV and have never loved a vehicle more!! ❤👌 I'm more calm when I drive now and don't rage lol. The typical mileage is 20-21mpg on eco mode in the city, mostly, if that helps. It goes up mildly with more highway usage, but that was basically the only let down. Frankly, I'm happy with anything over 20 after driving an old mustang for years lol.
