Such an interesting story of how the shark head came to be. It's funny how other teams mimic the sharks but everyone should know it's not the same or the original.
Been lucky enough to stand in it at the 25th Anniversary Dinner. You forgot to talk about the most important thing though. It’s so awesome that everyone copies it now from the Nashville Predators to the Las Vegas Golden Knights. We started a trend! #SharksForLife
As you can tell by my user name, my favourite band is Metallica, so the fact that the Sharks skate out to Seek and Destroy is really cool. My home town team skating out to my favourite Metal band means so much and every time I go to watch a game in person I get chills when the head comes down, lights dim and the opening riff starts and the boys skate out....chills.
I'm curious about the goal horn. I don't remember hearing it before the 3rd season, and I've been a fan since day one in 91. I've read in a few forums that it was only intended to be used for the first playoff run. Not sure if that's true. That might make for an interesting video! Nothing beats that spine rattling blast, especially in the area between section 207 and 209!
I honestly had no idea that was originally a Hollywood prop. If it was ever used in a movie I'd love to find out. Obviously would look completely different than it does now.

Actually, the Detroit Red Wings started this. They skated through Al the Octopus first.
I was able to skate through the head back in the day when the sharks hosted family day. One of my favorite moments in the tank!!!

I think one of the more special moments is when they had that one kid skate out with the team through the sharks head
