Marburg is a German city north of Frankfurt. The Altstadt, is home to half-timbered houses and the hilltop Landgrafenschloss Castle, with exhibits on sacred art and local history. Bars and cafes line the narrow streets in and around Market Square. The 13th-century Gothic Church of St. Elisabeth houses a shrine containing the relics of the saint.
