Not really a question, but my daughter lost her dad about a year and a half ago. She has really latched onto this song. She said her daddy is the bluebird in her heart. She also really loves Over You, when we saw you in concert in New Orleans in October we both sang along to Over You in tears because it was such a special moment for us. My daughters name is Makenna and she adores your music. Thank you for music and for being an inspiration for women.

I know you're pain except my two daughters lost they're father this last January makes 5 years ago and my heart goes out to you both. I lost my girlfriend a little over a year ago to Cancer, she was just 42, this song really makes me think of her, puts a little smile on my face, I really think she would have loved this song too, thanks so much.
I was 34 when bluebird came out. I can’t express how impactful this song was/ is to me! At the age of 34 I had so much loss. I experienced my second miscarriage, my grandma whom I saw through death at 100 years old I cared for and was very close to, two of my dogs we had 10+ years, two of his grandparents within the year and his brother ( add one more year make it two) . I then experienced my worst nightmare my husband and best friend since high school was riding his motorcycle to work and was struck by a buck and was left with life threatening injuries and airlifted to a hospital out of state. Months went by unknowing if he would ever wake up or come back to is. I had a 3 year old daughter and also had just found out we were pregnant again and had no idea how I could continue but this song and some new found religion truly helped me keep going. I love your songs and wish so badly to one day meet you in concert. I adore your music and thank you so much for putting music out there for the truly bad days to keep positive. It’s all you have!!

Of course there was (and is) Rosanne Cash, Emelou Harris, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McIntyre, and many many others. And these are just some of the great female country performers from the top of my mind! I’d definitely say that Miranda took some inspiration, and more modern performers should do the same.

We are of the same generation (I’m a couple years older) and I’ve listened to your music since Nashville Star, so it’s always felt like we’ve grown together, especially during the tough times. My question is, have you always been intentional about being so personal or does it just happen naturally because you write from a place of what you know and experience? Either way it connects in such a deep level with your audience that I hope it continues.
When I first started writing songs, and I didn’t have a lot of life that I had personally lived, but I had seen a lot already from my parents being private investigators, the world around me and playing in honky tonks. Then, I took a lot of inspiration from other things and people, not necessarily my 18 year old self. Now, I write from my own experiences.

I am so appreciative of how personal your albums have always felt. We are of the same generation (I’m a couple years older) and I’ve listened to your music since Nashville Star, so it’s always felt like we’ve grown together, especially during the tough times. My question is, have you always been intentional about being so personal or does it just happen naturally because you write from a place of what you know and experience? Either way it connects in such a deep level with your audience that I hope it continues.
When I first started writing songs, and I didn’t have a lot of life that I had personally lived, but I had seen a lot already from my parents being private investigators, the world around me and playing in honky tonks. Then, I took a lot of inspiration from other things and people, not necessarily my 18 year old self. Now, I write from my own experiences.
