I never thought the proportions looked right in previous releases so this will be my first Jazz. Really looking forward to this figure. As always, I appreciate the review.
I love this figure, when I got it I finally had that toon accurate Jazz itch scratched. I had a toy world jazzy but sold it immediately after opening it.
The good thing about the this ft release is now I can find a bunch of Maketoys downbeats for decent prices on eBay which I’m planning on getting instead of this to finally replace my ToyWorld jazzy
I like my Maketoys Downbeat but it suffers in articulation. I plan on getting this FansToys offering. I hope Takara makes one by the 40th anniversary of TFs
Yeah it sucks you can’t just show a friend real quick how amazing both modes look, without it looking like you are trying to solve a Rubix cube. Taking the fun out of toys is the price you pay in my opinion. And they sellout so fast! It’s like adult collectors are just content knowing it can transform, but that’s about it after one transformation, it on the shelf like a statue
Nah, I'm ALWAYS in my "TF room" (😂) and all my bots get transformed at least once a week. My wife doesn't understand my fascination with "Robots that become "stuff" as she puts it. 😂 But she's still very supportive of my hobby. As far as collector's bots that just "collect" dust, it's a shame, because they should play with them more, if nothing but to avoid parts seizing up. And keep them out of natural light, some of the plastics can "yellow" real bad. As for my buddies, most are amazed at a 20 minute conversion, as long as your friends appreciate good, (or bad in some cases 😂) engineering.
Good stuff! I honestly am not sure I'm even going to transform mine. I have Zeta for alt mode and I'm never transforming that again either. But now I will never need to.
I have the same issue. The carbots are too small for me. I have my favourite 3 decepticons (Mp36, Soundwaves and DS01) but only mp44 (ko) I would like ironhide and jazz by his side, but they are midgets man.
Thanks for the great review Mike, I have both Zeta and MTs and that will be enough Jazz for Me. FTs Herioc look is going in a direction I'm not fond of. The Short Torso long legs look reminds me of a Model in heels, this combined with the skinny shoulder arms makes it worse. The "Toon, But" look is also strange and contradictive. I will wait for a T version if you get my Jive...
Hey if you push Fuzz car seats back it should fit together better! Maybe not but I think it might haha. Anyway great review Mike, still gotta get one myself but just got Takara trailbreaker
I am very happy with the Transform & Rollout Agent Meister for a toy mode Jazz and I've bought this for the toon look. To improve the composition of the picture, could you not place the box in the background? A lot of the time the camera was focused on that.

Don't be surprised to see a Takara Masterpiece Jazz in 2023 now that Hasbro finally secured the Porsche license for Rise of the Beasts.

Seems like the hood is too long in alt mode. Don't remember that era of Porsches having Corvette-length hoods.
