Simon Cowell Exclusive: First Interview Since Becoming a Dad!

- Only "Extra" correspondent Terri Seymour was with Simon Cowell for his first TV interview since becoming a father to baby Eric with Lauren Silverman. When asked about the life-changing event, Simon said, "I was born to be a dad!"

Awww...very nice to see the softer side of Simon. I've heard that he's often done great things for people in the music industry and that he has a big heart. No doubt he's a wonderful dad.

It's true Simon was 54 when his son was born but look at him, he doesn't look 54. To me, he looks like he's still in his 40's. Simon actually takes very good care of himself. So I think he can handle being a dad. Besides, now he has an heir to leave his huge empire to. Besides Celine Dion's husband is 26 years older than her and they have 3 kids together but they didn't have kids the natural way because her husband's age. He knows he may not live to see his boys go to college but Simon will live to see Eric go to college.
The more amazing thing is that Simon always used to say that he didn't want to have kids because it'd be too much responsibility and he's a very dedicated to his career. But ever since he found out he was going to be a father, he became more and more happy about it and after Eric was born, he's really glad he became a dad. A lot of people don't want kids at first but when they end up having kids, they're glad they did.
Simon did say that if Eric ever tries to be singer and sings badly, he won't hold back from saying so to Eric.
***** Not to mention, some people wait a while to have kids after getting married. My dad was 23 when he got married and he didn't have me until he was 30 and I'm his first born. Well, these days more people are having kids in their 30's. Heck, a friend of mine had his first child at 33 and he had his second child at 37 and they're both perfectly healthy and good looking I might add. He and his girlfriend aren't married...yet, but they've been together for 18 years so they're pretty solid and they are starting to save up for a wedding, I hear.

It's obvious that he has stronger feelings for Terri than for Lauren. In another interview, he addressed Terri by using the term "darling" and as we all know, Simon is not the kind of man to show emotion towards anyone unless he really means it. He dated Terri for years, he must have had strong feelings for her or he wouldn't have dated her for so long. He may have even wound up marrying her if this Lauren hadn't pushed herself on him and forced him to marry her by getting herself pregnant after knowing him for just a couple of weeks
Why can't Simon's talent shows contain judges who can actually give a critique on VOCALS? Like talk about pitch, control, range, vibrato instead of saying "Amaaaaazing" or throw lame insults?
Rather watch The Voice where Jessie J does this. She even complained about this.
Because it's not about the voice it's about selling records and entertainment

Okay, why would you make poor Terri interview Simon about his new baby and girlfriend, a man who she dated for years, when she sounded half sick, bless her heart. Simon seems to love his "dream baby" but he revealed he hasn't even changed a dirty diaper because he didn't feel it was something he had to do. No wonder parenting's such a walk in the park for him, he probably hires nannies to do all the dirty work. But good for him I guess. He has a cute kid.
Lauren has been crying more than baby Eric because she probably thought Simon was going to propose to her on valentines day.
