  • Current supplies for this video: My paper is cut into 3.5x3.5 inch squares from 70lb sketch book paper or from colored heavy cardstock, my pen is a Kuretake Zig Millennium 01, my pencil is a student grade Royal HB. I blend my graphite with a blending stump. My brush pen is by Sakura. If I color I will use either Prismacolor colored pencils or Artists Loft Water color dual tip markers.
A string is used to give a guide as to how to compose a tile. A string can be used as a literal 'border' to define an area or as a suggestion as to where to place a pattern. Sometimes in a finished tile the string can be clearly seen and sometimes it disappears into the work.

I just want to say thank you so much, because your rant really opened up my eyes not only to my art "mistakes" that I will crumble up and toss the minute I make one single out of line error but you also opened up my eyes and my heart to embrace all of myself all my mistakes and how I should embrace allof it and love it love all of me no matter what, once again thank you as this message couldn't have been delivered at a better time. 🤗✌🏽💙
