I used to shoot one of these for my local gun club in competition, at 25yds prone these where literally "tack drivers" ie every shot through the same hole! Could repeatedly shoot 98/100+! The one in the video is in beautiful condition too, worth every penny.

Memory lane, I used to fire one of these at a gun club in the 80s. They weigh a ton when fired using a sling. I can almost smell the propellant while watching this. And this gun is as quite as I remember.

What a beautiful rifle. Thanks for posting. I remember the excitement in the cadets when I graduated off the No8 training rifles and was allowed to shoot these instead. So sweet to shoot.

I have two Mark IIs in the left handed variant including sights and scopes. I always apologize to anyone three benches away to my left in advance for the flying brass.

I have one. I had it re-blued and I re-finished the woodwork. It has all the Parker-Hale sight pieces and the bipod. It's a beaut for a 70yr old gun.

The 'shell holder' can be found on eBay. Occasionaly you can find the originals, and then a second generation copy. Now they are reproduced and most styles can be had.

I used to have an old Anschutz match 64 rifle and all the old men at the gun club would smoke me with their antique martini rifles. I finally got the bug and bought my own international mark three, but it had a worn out barrel. I had it re-barreled and added a Redfield 3200 scope, it shoots very well.

One of my all time favorite target rifles. Fantastic shooters with modern target ammunition.

Wow the polish on the action is superb! Mine is sporterised with scope rail and threaded for silencer. Homemade one piece stock of walnut that I felled! Not many rabbits get away from these and it's all clean meat. Head shots regularly to 70 yards. Great video!

Ahh, forgot about subs. Must be the camera making the sound less noticeable. This is the first time I've head of this gun, it's very beautiful.

It's a beautiful action. . . . you don't pull off the target at all.

Just bought one. Haven’t shot it yet. But, mines not quite as shiny as that one. And, I don’t have the nifty cartridge holder thingy, either. :-/
Martini action is too cool . . .

Most of my Mk. II's have a semi-gloss blueing. I have two that have to go to the gunsmith for re-blueing. One I will have in high gloss. There are dozens that come into the States. Some have had a lot of neglect and since GB is a salt-air atmosphere, rust is frequent. Life is too short to use or have ugly rifles.

Who did the restoration work on the Martini rifle? That high gloss bluing looks fantastic. I'd appreciate if you can provide a link or contact info for the company that did the bluing.

Can't you try put a cheekrest on the other side? Wouldn't it be much cheaper and probably more comfortable.
