it was a small trailer house that caught fire and burned to the ground when we got there and the fire spreaded to the woods, but we help do a little bit of clean up with the fire. no one was injury in the fire

BTW, "burnt" is an adjective; you'll want a verb (burned) in the description. Also, try it with "burned to the ground" and ask yourself "is this missing anything?" ....the "down" is unnecessary.
