  • The last and actually only time I drove this car was when I put a seat on the rolling chassis and drove her in the backyard. Now for a first time in decades we will attempt to drive her as one piece. Will she drive though?

Elin, remove the cap from the master cylinder, put a plastic bag over the hole & refit the cap !

Dear Elin, awesome as usual! If you want to minimize the amount of brake fluid thats dripping out of an opened brake line, you can press the brakes before you undo the brake line. That will close the brake circuit and the reservoir will be detached from the system. Remove the brake pads before, so you dont build up pressure in the system.
Thanks for your amazing videos, Jan

That's why they are called collector's cars, parts fall off, and you go back and collect them! 😅

I was waiting to see if the hood raised up. When there is no air deflector and no hood latch, air will raise the hood above 50mph. I feel like you just delivered a baby. I know John must feel good to see her move again. Now, get it finished!

Nice to see her move on her own out of the corner of the shop, hopefully you can keep at it and have it finished before the end of summer. Then maybe Anna gets an hour or two of your time ( maybe not too) thanks for the video!

Hi Elin, if you were going to set this up again, would you change the position of the PDW so that it is flat against the fire wall with the opening facing up and the switch pointing out? Yes it’s not stock, but it would make future servicing easier. Of course you could only do that if you were doing a full brake line redo.
    Thanks for another great video.

This is why I did not become a mechanic, so I can work on MY cars, the problem then becomes that you still don't have time to work on your own cars! I thought OK, then I'll work on MY car when I retire, LOL, yes, now I've been working on my car for several months, but now it's harder to get good quality parts, logistics has deteriorated, so it takes much longer for parts to arrive, that's if they don't get 'lost" in the mail, plus, of course, I have less disposable income, AND my back hurts!

Lots of choices depending on what and where you want your main power band to be. I think many ( just road going) TR6 owners just want a nice smooth reliable engine that gives about 125 bhp. Over here in the U.K. 80mph is probably the most you are ever going to do..
