    Everywhere I've read says this is a nightmare job and you made it look incredibly easy.

      As long as you have a big press it is easy. Removing the flanges from the half shafts is the hardest part.

    You make it look relatively easy Elin.. Hope you're doing okay ? When you're down to one crutch, let me know, and I'll send you a three cornered hat and a black eyepatch. ☠️😉

    Can u explain how you determined the proper torque or depth on the nur for the front seal?

    We use the wood screw trick to remove the group gasket on espresso machines. The rubber or silicone group gasket, that seals the portafilter to the group head, gets very hard and difficult to remove after a year or even less. A wood screw through it forces it out or sometimes causes it to crack. Either way, it is then possible to pull the gasket out using a screw driver or pliers.

    I haven't been able to get mine off to replace the seals as I don't have a press and haven't found someone to do it. Nice work, my pinion seal was a "LITTLE "easier than yours to get out, but not in one piece. Nice work.

    Now THIS is the kind of clubbing seals I agree with!

    Didn’t hear on this video about adding oil to the rear diff - do you fill it thru the breather ?

    How many tons of pressure were you at before the axle split? Did you notice by chance? They make a pretty good bang when they release 😎

      I don't think it was a lot actually. I normally start looking at the gauge when something gets stubborn, but this time I think it came relatively easy. But parts and phones started flying around so... Maybe it was a lot. The press goes to 20 tons LOL

    Are you maybe saying “cotter pin” when you mean “split pin” ?
    A cotter pin is a bolt with a flat side usually to wedge against a shaft...

      @RustyBeauties  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Different places different terminology. Everybody around me calls the split pin a "cotter pin". I purchased a box of different sizes stainless steel ones from Amazon recently and that is what they were called. "cotter pins".

      Yup, they are cotter pins in north america, split pins elsewhere.
