    Not overly expensive when one considers the price of an aircraft carrier

  • @raymonderazo8571
    @raymonderazo8571 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Wow that is expensive, I think the price of that guitar should be $1999.00

    • @SRNF
      @SRNF 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think 1399 would be more realistic for a charvel of that build. Nothing crazy.

    • @overkill2006
      @overkill2006 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was thinking 1,500 would be reasonable.

      @@overkill2006 How do you figure? These are built by the custom shop, NOT the US production line... That means every neck is done by hand by 1 guy. Also, those titanium saddles themselves are a couple hundred themselves.

    3299? Hell no. ESP and Ibanez came out with a hell of a lot of good shit this year and THIS is your "3299"?!

      it's made by the custom shop whereas the gg sig is a production model, so the attention to detail here should be top flight.

    Hahahahah $3299
    I have the 2pt HSH for $999 and it is a killer value. I’m not Suhr how this is so much more expensive.

    • @RRoy83
      @RRoy83 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the 2pt HSH was built in Mexico with cheap labor and sub par materials, not to mention on a production line without any actual luthiers to keep costs down. These are built one by one by a few guys in the Charvel custom shop with actual luthiers and high end materials, that adds to cost. Its not really all that hard to understand. BTW, Ive played a few of the Mexican ones, not bad for the money but left alot to be desired

    I really want a SH sound from that 5 way switch. It's such a great sound.

    That price legit hurts my heart...adore the guitar but I can't swing that...

    I'm not affiliated in anyway, and not to take anything away from the brand, but if I was going to spend that kind of money I would try and get something from Wayne and Michael so they can rebuild their shop that burned in the Paradise fire.

    WHERE'S THE 'JACK BUTLER'
    SIGNATURE MODEL?!!!

  • @jeffdell9472
    @jeffdell9472 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    If Ibanez are getting $2799 for an AZ2402FF, Charvel believes they can get $3299...problem for them is, at that price point, you can get a Suhr Modern Plus with a figured maple cap...

  • @cominroitover80

    Played one of these in a guitar shop. Felt exactly like the MIM guitars, sloppy fretwork and spotty intonation and tuning stability. I have no idea why they are charging this much for these. Yes they are made in USA but do they do not feel or play like 3000 guitars at all. I played a Suhr right next to it and it absolutely blew the Charvel out of the water. I would recommend trying to play one of these before buying one. I would be really pissed off if I ordered one of these especially since dealers do not accept returns on Charvel USA models.

    I paid $2500 for my Guthrie Govan model brand new that has a everything this has PLUS NO string trees and a better custom bridge....

    Similar to ibanez AZ style switching, only the head stock and the body shape make it different from ibanez..

    I just got the MIM DK24 HSH in Olive Drab and it is basically the same guitar...at $999! Think about it: same body, same neck, same pickups, same bridge. The only real upgrades are the switching, the SS frets and the tuners...and this is worth $2,500 more????? You must be high, Charvel.

    • @eriksmith1728
      @eriksmith1728 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Made in their Custom Shop which is the only real reason for the price (also titanium saddles for the gotoh which titanium isn't cheap). I agree it still shouldn't be that high of a price though...

    Brass block, steel frets, different Duncan’s, and Sperzel and it’s $2300 more?
    Hello MiM version :/
    I’d pay you $1500 for these $250 worth of upgrades from the MiM version Charvel. You can make it in Grandmas garage, I don’t care. But $2300 more? Nope.

      I feel like 1,500 is reasonable but honestly I feel like they should have more color options for the pro mod dk24.

    • @likeakloss
      @likeakloss 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      i guess it's appropriate then as this axe is made by the custom shop team

    • @RRoy83
      @RRoy83 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@likeakloss right lol, its funny because all of the bitching about the price and comparing this to the Ibanez AZ etc people don't realize these are being built by the small Charvel custom shop team one by one to order...Those titanium saddles alone are quite a bit. Price doesn't seem bad at all to me but I have a job so no reason to complain lol, I mean my Anderson was $4800 and my Suhr $5300 so these actually seem pretty reasonable
