Great lick love that style of 80s playing on the higher strings. I had a Charvel San Dimas Custom Shop hardtail it was mean and very very light. I sold it kinda wish I hadn’t.

Recently started GASn'g for a USA Charvel... dang this review has just added to it big time. That matte black is very cool. Always can count on Euge to nail it.
I have this guitar in Satin Plum. I use it on my channel. I love it so much.. Such a smooth playing guitar. I ended up replacing the neck and middle pickups with a chopper and air Norton because although the HS2 pickups sounded great, it seemed the Super Distortion was disproportionately more beastly.
Totally Epic Guitars, I have a charvel san dimas made in Mexico, it shreds. Plays great acoustically for an electric. Great range of tones on that bad boy also. Top three guitar brands for me, Charvel, Gibson and ESP.
A good player is a good player regardless. Well said Euge. But yeah we are used to our preferences. I have always liked the high end Charvels. I've seen and played with a few over the years, but never bought one. That model without the Floyd Rose and a matching painted headstock would be very good for me with a string through hard tail bridge on it.
I have the San Dimas Plum version with Floyd Rose since January, so it's basically the same guitar and indeed it's a great axe. The DP100 is awesome, the neck is one of the best I've ever played on. The manufacturing quality is almost perfect. The only reproach I could made concerned the middle pickup. I feel the placement is a little bit weird. Maybe it's because I'm not used to play with a middle pickup, but I had to change the type of pick I used in order to avoid hitting the pickup when I play the strings (ernie ball prodigy to jazz III)
I usually just lower the middle pickup a bit so that it doesn’t get in the way of my picking 😎👌. It also changes the tone of the pickup a bit which is kinda cool too.

Yeah have the same guitar, Satin Plum, just like in my profile pic. Beautiful guitar. Prefer the original Floyd to the 1000 also. The Dimarzio's were a nice alternative to the Seymours that seem to be in most of these type of guitars.

LOVE your videos! How would i connect my tube amp heads to my computer? I currently have a scarlett 2i2 interface and yamaha hs 7 monitors. Im new to all this kind of stuff. Im used to just plugging in and playing into amps, but i want to find out how to further my knowledge. what do i need to do this and how would i do this? budget is unlimited

I am curious how the DiMarzio pups compare to the seymore Duncan's. Had a WR1 like 10 years ago in the past and did not like the DiMarzio. Have these changed ? How is the sustain ? Thanks! I haven’t really used DiMarzio’s but in general the sound is mostly on the player’s hands and pickups pick that up, amps amplify etc. And obviously a good guitar with a good sustain & tone plays a big part too 👌.
Euge, I have a strat that I want to install a Floyd on that I have left over, but it seems the strings will be too high off the fretboard without routing the cavity for the floyd. Do you know how Charvel manages to have a floating floyd without a recess, is the neck angle shimmed? Is the neck higher than standard? Is the body thinner? Kiitos!
depends what you are comparing too.. this is far less than Suhr, PRS, or Ernie Ball Luke III. So a super strat at 2499 that has all the goods is a great price IMHO YMMV.
Amazing playing as always, but i think the neck is slightly wider than the neck pocket, in the shots from behind, the neck joint seemed to show that neck was wider than rhe pocket…hopefully it’s just the angle of the shot…

You need a mike and put it in front of your speaker cab. That gives best sound and is the most used method for ages.

No idea 😎. I mainly use EMGs but I have a few fiddles with passives (Duncan Custom, EVH Wolfgang, ’59 & Wilde L500XL).
