Thunder Laser Bolt 1-Month review by Gold Gulf Coast Design

We've had the Bolt in our Shop running 5 days a week for one month our Employees had allot to say about this machine and here is our Review of this machine hope you enjoy.

Great review - thank you! Does the Bolt have any issues cutting through 6mm plywood at one pass and full power? Or does it need more than 1 pass? My main concern in going to this machine is cutting through as much as 1/4 plywood (maple, birch, walnut, cherry, etc.) with no charring.

Yes it will cut through 6mill we do it all the time, This is a fantastic desktop machine the most impressive part is the engraving quality!

Is the work bed12x20 or the actual cut area that is usable 12x20? If not, what is the max usable cut/engrave space? Thanks!

12x20 work bed you can open the front door to allow for overhang longer then 12 inches I showed that in the video

Do you know if I can engrave the entire area of an 11x17 or does the laser module take up to much room to cover the entirety?

@@sebumgold3108 no the work area is 12x20. Almost impossible match it up if you flipped the work around

Thanks for your awesome review. Can you please confirm you cut 1/4" ply at 3 inches per second and what power? Also, with tthe 30w RF tube what do you think its equivalent in watts to a Co2 tube? Thanks

Yes the Bolt will cut 1/4 Burch plywood at 100% power at 4-ips.
As far as equivalent power I believe the 60watt nova 24 is in the same range of power.
The most impressive part about the Bolt is the engraving quality the beam size is more than 2 times smaller than a CO2 laser beam. it is very obvious really quickly that this machine excels at engraving clean and clear images on any material that the CO2 will engrave.
I’m not paid to say any of this just my honest opinion and observation.

Great video thank you for sharing your experience. Please know that we invested in one as a direct result of your video that was covering your excitement about getting a smaller laser. The RF smaller beam got our attention. We have a super big boy dual laser 80/120 we imported from China ourselves directly that cuts 4’x8’ .
We just got our Thunder Bolt last Thursday 10/12 . Waiting on the RotoBoss delivery by UPS today.
Question for you: Are you going to sell the cut files for the cozy jig and RotoBoss Large Tumbler-adaptor For the Bolt Laser ? All your WORK HARD vs DRINK BEER spinner .. if so I’m interested.
