You are amazing at colouring with your coloured pencils. I learn more and more every time I watch a tutorial on this. I love my Prismacolour pencils and as you said "Everyone is different and everyone may like different pencils". :O)
Dear Yana, congratulations and best wishes for your move back to your beautiful home country of Ukraine! I have been admiring your coloring with Polychromos Colored Pencils for some time now, and I finally decided to purchase a tin of 36 Polychromos. At first, I did not like them very well, but I am used to Prismacolor and Staedtler brands. But, after several days of coloring them and becoming familiar with them, I have grown to really, really like them, and have beautifully colored several florals for card fronts. The only issue I have with them is that I wish they had some designated shades of pink like Prismacolor has. However, I have ordered some pink shades, open stock, from an art store, and hope to receive them soon. I like pink very, very much for flowers! Thank you for doing so many tutorials where you use the Polychromos pencils. You have taught me well! All the best to you, Yana! The United States will be less beautiful without you, but someone as special as you needs to be shared with the rest of the world, and I am sure your family and friends are thankful to have you back with them! God bless and give you every happiness!
Awwww, thank you so much! Your Comment is so beautiful and thoughtful! I too was lacking pinks, so I did exactly the same thing and got some open stock pencils. Thanks! I'm so glad you are enjoying these pencils 😊
Lovey card, Yana. I may have to invest in some of these pencils. I have never tried colored pencils to any great degree, but have watched a lot of the videos and I think I would like this brand. Love the yellow flowers, again, I don't think of using yellow much. You've inspired me!
Always love to watch you color pink on kraft or grey cardstock, but using yellow was inspired! This is such a soft and pretty card! The two tones of green leaves just add to the beauty of the card; I think it was a good choice. Glad you are settling in and enjoying some coloring time!
Really gorgeous card, Yana! Your mama is going to love it! Thank you so much for sharing your tips about these pencils and paper with us...I'm putting both on my wishlist, for sure!
Thank you so much, I love watching you colour. I have never enjoyed colouring but am fascinated watching you as you are so good at teaching “ how to”. X Ros
Such a gorgeous card Yana. I've ordered the grey paper but don't have the pencils..yet!!! I have crafters companion pencils which have a wireless base. Could I use those. I think they are more like prisms. Thank you for all your inspiration and for sharing your talent with us.💕
Hey Yana....girl, you are really mastering pencil coloring, as this piece is truly stunning! I also think the mirror stamping you showed us is absolutely brilliant! Just another top instructional tutorial from you Yana....TFS!!!
Just ordered a small set of polychromos!!! Very lovely card!!! I have a ream of Neenah Desert Storm that I am going to try instead of the Strathmore. Thank you for your inspiring videos!!!
That’s truly lovely! I need to get out my pencils finally! There just isn’t enough time in my days at the moment for such complex colouring... but one day... :-)
Beautiful! I have been debating on whether to get the Polychromos. Every time I see one of your videos I am so in love with how they come out. I have tried with my Prisma's but I do not get the same look. I have even tried the gamsol in hopes I will like them more. Thank you for inspiration and talents.
What a gorgeous card! Really enjoyed this video watching you colir. Very nice. Will have to try those pencils in the future. I have prisma color pencils myself and love them. But after watching this, will have to try these in the future to see for myself. Tfs, hope you have a blessed day 😊 😄 😉
Awesome card as usual ! I recently bought Polychromos pencils and I'll give a try to this technique. I hope I'll make it like you :) Can you please advice me where you found this pencil chart ?
I am really enjoying colouring on toner grey paper! I wish I could decide whether I can justify buying some polychromos. I have the full set of spectrum noirs and now trying a 12 set of prismacolours as I am just not sure.
If you can try them somewhere (at a crop or if a friend has them) - I'd try them to see if you like them. Or get just the smallest 12 pencil pack so that you are not investing a lot of money. Hope this helps!
This is so pretty! I'm barely starting out with cardmaking and would love some tips if you have any I feel so overwhelmed with what to start with or where to even start
It can definitely feel overwhelming! I think it would be a good idea to get a card kit (for example from Simon, you don't have to subscribe, just get one individual kit). Kits usually have everything you'd need to make several cards. This is also a great way to try out different products that have been expertly combined together. Plus these card kits have card ideas that you can copy or get inspired from. Copying somebody else's card is one of the best ways to learn. Hope this helps!
Totally agree with your reply Yana, not only about starting with a kit, but also copying someone's else work so you get to know how your supplies work as well as practice using your supplies. Jacqui, just Google basic supplies to see what you need to get started and then you can use your kit. Happy Crafting, cause you're going to love it!
You are my favorite colored pencil teacher. Thank you.
Utterly gorgeous Yana! I am really enjoying your videos. TFS!
Beautiful card! I love watching your videos.
Amazing coloring!!! Beautiful!

This may be widely known, but just in case, it's good to know that Prisma Color Pencils are wax based and Faber-Castell Poloychromos are oil based.
gorgeous card! i've been trying more and more to use my pencils but it's slow going. beautiful inspiration!
such a pretty card!!!
Awesome card as usual ! I recently bought Polychromos pencils and I'll give a try to this technique. I hope I'll make it like you :) Can you please advice me where you found this pencil chart ?
Just Google polychromos pencil chart - there's one on the Faber castell website, you can download for free from there
