And one thing for sure to you. Islam is not ideological way of life, but the practical one. Take it easy sister. If you need years to change its oaky, Allah is All-Justice, the fact that you think you want follow Islam ideology is already good. Just take step by step, no need rush. But in the same way be carefull, because Satan sometimes playing with it also. May Allah make it easy for you sister

I will try to give you my input hoping that it will ease your concerns about the points you mentioned in your video.
First point: This is a deep subject, but just to make it short; many scholars say that it is OK to consume meat as long as it has been slaughtered. Just have to say bismillah before eating it. As a Muslim/a you always have to be careful about any food you consume, because not too many people are aware of what Muslims can eat and not eat. They may be using lard for cooking not knowing that it is a pork byproduct.
Second point: Dr William Barylo just talked about this subject a couple of days ago on his channel. Keep in mind that there are all kinds of people on YT, even those who try to pass themselves as Muslims to deceive people especially those who are new with the Religion. Unfortunately, you also have Muslims who make comments based on their cultural bias and may say that this is part of Islam. Others genuinely care, but they just don't know how to convey their message. At the end of the day, don't take the negative comments to heart, it is just a waste of time. Focus on all those good ones, and delete all the bad ones if you can.
Third point: Dressing conservatively (showing modesty) is incumbent on BOTH males and females. Hijab without the takwa doesn't mean much; better dress conservatively, and exhibit the best actions than wear hijab, and do all kinds of "un-Muslim" acts. I'm glad that you feel comfortable wearing hijab, and don't let people bully you into doing something you don't want to do.

Yoo! :) Where's the haram police?! haha
Joking aside, dont pay attention too much to the hateful comments in social media sister, Muslims who make bad comments usually have never had the experience of being, meet, interact or teach a revert in their life, have no experience of living in a country with a different culture, or rough translation perhaps haha.
See it as a test sister, take only the good things and ignore the bad things from them to learn. Just take it step by step to be a better human, a better Muslim. Remember Islam is perfect, we Muslims still make mistakes as a human, the more tests from Allah, that means he loves you more. Life is a learning journey.
My advice is try to find a real life friends from the nearest Mosque Community or Islamic Centre to lend you a hand and guide you to learn. May Allah always protect you, guide you and make it easier for all of your struggle! :)

    Salam sister,
We muslims who are born in muslim countries don't realize how easy it is to practice what Allah expects from us. And also how easy it is to refrain from alcohol, pork etc which are not to be consumed. And you changing your life style especially how you used to dress must be very difficult but you have no idea how much Allah will be loving you for this, it can't be easy, I'm sure the reward you will get for this it will be beyond our imagination inshaAllah.
And with respect to toxic people trying to judge as to some of the things you are finding difficult to adopt right away, you should just ignore them. They exist everywhere even in Muslim societies, they are self-made religious police who have no authority and they just like to judge, you shouldn't even listen to them, pray to Allah to make this journey easy for you especially when you are family and loved ones are not Muslims yet, I'm sure by seeing your example, they may also turn around. Stay connected with Qur'an, it will hold your fingers and navigate you through rough waters inshaAllah.
May Allah help you keep steadfast in this journey, Aameen.

Assalamualaikum sister Lyndsay, welcome to Islam! May Allah reward all your efforts to change your lifestyle & make it easy for you. Don't forget to come to your local mosque and learn the deen from a teacher/Imam. Therefore you wouldn't be confused or pressured cuz they'll teach step by step.
Btw, I have some little advices, (and I hope you don't take this as a judgement or hate), the hijab is supposed to cover the neck too. So I would suggest you to use either pins or magnets on the neck area. And about the dog, Islamically dogs' saliva is considered najis (very filthy) to the point that if u touched it you gotta wash ur hands 7 times & one of them with soil, therefore dogs shouldn't be an indoor house-pet. It'd be better to keep it outside the house and be extra careful when touching it. That's it, I don't wanna overwhelm you ❤ May Allah guide us all.

Salam dear sister, i will not take much of your time. I feel though I am not the right person but should inform you few things.
    1. Food - yes for non Muslim countries it's a struggle. But i am sure you may find lots of alternatives. And we all sacrifice lots of things we love in our life for something better.
    2. Social media: you should share your journey, i will encourage you but taking social media in priority will make you sick of it's toxicity. Learn to ignore. Even from Muslims. Islam is great but doesn't mean all muslims are too. Don't take opinion from social media, when it's the most intimate relationship between you and Allah. Go to scholar or read Quran or Hadith to understand.
    3. Modesty: same thing like social media but please contact with Islamic scholar for better clarification. Don't simply take explanation from online or social media.
    4. I don't want to upset you but please learn about pet. I used to have a dog too in childhood but we needed to learn what we can do and can't.
May Almighty Allah keep you strong in your journey.

Sister just remind that quran revelation delivered to the prophet Mohammad pbuh in 23 years so take easy on urself and practice islam gradually. I understand how difficult ur culture and the enviroment around u, just ask Allah the steadfast on the right path and know Allah reward u for the difficulties. Wanna advice u to talk with muslim lantern here in youtube maybe connect u with muslim community in ur town and help u with the deen. don't care about social media becoz u don't know who is behind those comments. Lastly about the Halal food u can take advantage of this situation and buy a sheap or goat and ask the farmer owners to kill it with islamic way and eat meat when u like.

Mashallah first of all congratulations on being a Muslim🎉💘
Second of all believers get tested on their belief Allah says : {Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tested? But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.”
But ofc it gets easier eventually and all Muslims have to go through it and sometimes our believe gets stronger and even more firm through tests and hardships
may Allah keep you steadfast sister subhan Allah how Allah chose you out of anyone else what a blessing we should be thankful for everyday ❤️
and may Allah guide your family I wish I could help you as your Muslim sister but lol we live millions miles apart 🥹

salamalaikum dear sister mashaAllah may Allah guide you all the time. Alhamdullillah i am a revert as well and had to face with too many ignorant people calling themselves muslims ending up trying to teach me their culture and shirk rituals as the deen and when i rejected they called me fitna/munafiq hahah! most of the people callimg themselves muslims are just culturally muslim and does not have really most fundamental basic knowledges about islam. people if you do not believe me, learn a little bit islam and go ask those to so-called born and growth ''muslims''. not all the same, there are many hidden gems over there but thats the truth dear reverts, do not feel bad and don't let such soldiers of shaitan to sit on your right path that would lead you to the endless peace and happiness of jannah! May Allah unite all of us under the flag of Tawhid.

My sweet and honest sister in Islam, may Allah help you all the way. There will always be some struggle in life and there will always be haters. But your struggle will be immensely rewarded Insha Allah. Please sister, stay steadfast in your belief and surely, you will overcome all these one by one soon. Most of all, be a nice daughter to your parents and a better sister to your siblings (if any). If you are in Texas or Arizona, move to larger cities, there are plenty of really good Halal food restaurants, excellent halal meat places where you can get really good quality stakes (Plano and Richardson of North Dallas/Texas). Look for Kosher meat places, they are okay for you too. You do not have to embrace Islamic traditions all at once, slowly adopt them at your convenience. Allah also taught us to slowly give away drinking alcohol slowly - not abruptly. May you be rewarded immensely and have success in this life and the hereafter. May you stay safe and health Insha Allah.

Narrated Yusuf bin Mahk: a person from lraq asked, ... "O mother of the Believers! Show me (the copy of) your Qur'an," She said, "Why?" He said, "In order to compile and arrange the Qur'an according to it, for people recite it with its Suras not in proper order." **`Aisha said, "What does it matter which part of it you read first? Know that the first thing that was revealed thereof was a Sura from Al-Mufassal, and in it was mentioned Paradise and the Nar When the people embraced Islam, the Verses regarding halal & haram were revealed. If the first thing to be revealed was: 'Do not drink people would have said, 'We will never leave,'** ... Then `Aisha took out the copy of the Qur'an for the man and dictated to him the Verses of the Suras (in their proper order) .

The important thing to keep you on Islam is to think daily and every minute if you could hold on your finger on fire for few seconds without caring of pain , if you could then forget Islam , if you don't then expect you will be punished much much more than this for even simple sins you may dismiss once ...

“Verily, you will never leave anything for the sake of Allah Almighty but that Allah will replace it with something better for you.”
    Source: Musnad Aḥmad 23074
Your every struggle is seen, and Allah ta ala is most generous and does not waste your good deeds.
InshaAllah every bite of food you take, where you chose the halal over the haram, especially when it was difficult, will bring barakah in your life, and reward in the hereafter.
And as for the way people attack other like ypurself, just take the good, and leave the bad. They are af cpurse completely wrong. We are commanded to advise with reason. And the sunnah of our nabi saw was gentle and wise.
Peoples attitudes mostly reflect their ignorance and cultural baggage.
Try to surround youself with people that are helpful, and close out the noise that does more harm than good.
And i hope you do try best to integrate with your local muslim community. As I hope they will be more positive and helpful
