I think it's all a mindset and not caring about really trying to hustle and make a fool of yourself in the beginning. I do feel being an immigrant it forces you because you're proud and want to show the country your in that you can make it.

He’s been in business 4 years correct and part of that was cleaning windows. I’d like to know the loophole he found for California which requires 4 years as a journeyman for pressure washing to obtain a contractors license.
Maybe he was a journeyman before he started his own business? Could he have possible owned another similar business before this one?
Great episode as usual....what sort of wage or income does the owner take out of the business if labour is 50%??

The owner can set any payroll for himself, bonuses on the end of the month and not more than 25% of dividends annually.

Ilian mentioned bonuses and commissions as part of his payroll. Is he paying bonuses to the window cleaners themselves? If so, what kind of % and is it a % of the jobs they completed that week? As for commissions; I assume that’s for the sales staff. What’s that % per job?

$500k Revenue - $250k payroll - $110 advertising - equipment - maintenance - work comp - insurance - cpa - taxes = nothing left for him. One of these figures is not right.
He doesn’t give honest answers
This is in the first years. He also spend 110k "last year"- it was posibky one off. The business will scale and he'll start making money. Most businesses become profitable in the 3rd or 4th year.
