Wow... You really need to learn how to use SMA connectors. You turn the nut to install/tighten it not spin the female end in. The way your doing it the center pins will be worn out by the end of the week.
I hadn't thought about the connection method prior to this video, but you are correct. There simply isn't a lot of mating surface area between the SMA center pin and coupling. Spinning the female coupling could wear the connection faster.
