These 450 4-strokes are WAAAYY stressed out even from the factory. For these new 4-stroke turds to be competitive of the old 250 2-strokes, they have to get every single ounce of power by jeopardising RELIABILITY. Not so much the Honda 450's (they have some relibility) but the Yamaha YFZ450 engines are NOTORIOUSLY over-stressed from the factory and are ticking-time-bombs. Screw the 450 4-strokes, nothing but trouble and nowhere near the fun of 2-strokes!!
sounds like its the clutch, hitting those high rpm's for that long will smoke those clutchs
I couldn't believe it because it wasn't even my quad it was borrowed. It was my first time racing a quad.
U can't believe it? There was like a rev limiter every 5 seconds

Did you ever find out what happen to it? Sounded like you were on the revlimitterr a lot. What happen to the quad?
