The vikings just cannot win in this. It's either they are not beating teams by enough points by playing to close or they are besting teams by too much and cannot play in close games.
They are going to win the Superbowl and people are going to say that "they barely even won it. Sure the score was 35-7, but it was pretty close to being a game there, so how good were they really?"

Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are the best duo. Period. Add tight ends like Hockenson and WR Nailor and other; this receiving group is amazing. Saying "Sam Darnold ain't gonna win it as their quarterback" is bullshit! He is a top-five quarterback in the statistics. He brought the team back with several late-quarter drives that made the difference and won the games. How lame to say that. When you lose a dozen or more defensive players the Lions are not the same team.
Respect to Sam Darnold he was a young guy drafted into a bad situation and onto a bad team. With bad coaching. Then he was beaten down by the media. Was he blameless ? No but he wasn't done any favors either. He kept his head up found himself in Minnesota, a well ran franchise with good coaching and good players. Now he's showing the world why he was drafted #3 overall

I am a Vikings fan and watch every snap. Here is what I see: the Vikings are a very aggressive team on both offense and defense. They throw a lot and sometimes forget to run the ball. They throw 20+ yards downfield on almost every throw so this requires Darnold to be in the pocket for 5+ seconds which of course exposes him to sacks. He is very fearless, he will throw the ball and into pressure, throw a pick and then come back and throw a TD. JJ is elite. Addison is almost elite. Hockenson disappeared. The O-line is ok. The defense is very aggressive. The problem I see is too many offensive penalties. The last game almost went off the rails as we had motion penalties that killed drives. Also, the Special Teams in our last game was atrocious - running into the kicker, 12 men on the field for an opposing FG. I think that those mental screwups will come back to bite us.
As a Viking fan I’ve said since 2020 chase is the best WR in the NFL and he was still at LSU. 😂😂😂I was watching LSU tape that year and really liked Jetts but I knew Chase was the better receiver. I love Jetts and other Viking fans disagree but Chase can do everything Jetts can do but he’s better after the catch and significantly faster.

The NFC WEST has the greatest rest differential in the NFL compared to every other division/conference. It’s a factor that plays into games where teams are much better rested and more prep time. So the fact that the West is always changing leaders is expected. This isn’t making excuses it’s just what works out best for NFL (broadcasting et al) as a business. The west coast teams all have certain factors that can’t mitigate the impact of, they just have to play through it. These are two good teams and the better team on the day has a lot of moving parts to completely and fairly quantify. I do think that the rest differential needs to become a more in depth conversation at NFL schedule level, but it’s all about that money isn’t it? (It is) Should be a great game ✌️
Jefferson/Addison are great but you give the Hawks their offensive line and run game that 180 yard difference between them is gone, and DK and JSN would be with them or ahead easy. Also, DK has missed games and has been playing hurt, plus Geno hasn't been as consistent as Darnold and really struggles in the red zone.

Good on Gruden being the much smarter guy on this podcast he's the only reason I actually watch and he's not biased like the others.
