- Residential Life Training is a series developed for residential school staff to foster safe, supportive, nurturing, and inclusive student environments. This series covers a wide range of topics to recognize, address, and promote positive behavior, and emotional well-being among students. Through this training, staff will learn real-life strategies to create a culture of empathy, understanding, and compassion. This training emphasizes self-care and stress management techniques recognizing that staff wellbeing is linked to their ability to provide the best support to students.
This Residential Life helps participants:
• Create a sense of belonging for students
• Review protective factors relating to student transitions
• Discuss the role of healthy relationships using the supportive behavior system
• Review evidence and culture-based coping strategies
