Edit: this video has been re-done in better quality and gameplay: th-cam.com/video/4DZWPtsJ6zA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/4DZWPtsJ6zA/w-d-xo.html I'm glad to have this video up on the channel. This was my first time (aside from the obvious practice run) to complete Banjo Kazooie. I never got far as a child. This longplay features all music notes and puzzle pieces. The later levels were quite stressful as it's recorded on original hardware, thus, no save states were possible. If you die on the N64 version, you lose all of your musical notes on that level (this was changed for the better in the X360 version). I actually managed to die once in the Rusty Bucket Bay level (which is horrendously difficult) and lose my 88 musical notes. Rather than showing myself get all of the notes again, I simply resumed the recording from that area and collected the puzzle piece and musical notes from it (which would bring me to the old 96 total) @ 4:34:00. Then, I fast forwarded to the point where I collected all the previous musical notes and I resumed the recording at the point of the last 4 musical notes. So there's the explanation why you might notice the suddenly changing number of collected notes. Either way, if you are using this video as a guide, it suits perfectly as the run still shows each of the unique locations.

Why 99 Jiggies and not 100? If you get only 99 jiggies the ending is not so great and Mumbo will not give Banjo and Kazooie a secret for the next Banjo and Kazooie game. But if you finish the game by collecting all 100 jiggies and defeated Gruntila and rescuing Tooty, Banjo's sister, then Mumbo does reveal the secret for the next Banjo and Kazooie game.
