RE-RECORDING IN BETTER QUALITY: th-cam.com/video/GfoS7piLkdk/w-d-xo.html RE-RECORDING IN BETTER QUALITY: th-cam.com/video/GfoS7piLkdk/w-d-xo.html I wasn't able to squeeze this in the 12 hour upload limit unfortunately. Anyway, this is Banjo Tooie. I'm sure most of you have heard of this title or even played it. It's the sequel to story in Banjo Kazooie but there are quite a few gameplay changes which I'll get to in a bit. One major difference is the fact that all the worlds in Banjo Tooie are connected to each other, which allows for a couple of complex jiggies. You will frequently find yourself entering older stages to trigger an event in a later stage. It's a fairly cool concept, but it makes it a tad difficult for me to create a good longplay. Besides that major change, the worlds are also much bigger and the jiggies are overall much more complex to obtain. If you compare the jiggies in this game to the ones in Kazooie, the ones in Kazooie are being given out like candy. Another big change is the fact that everything in the level now saves. This includes jinjo's, musical notes and just about anything else you do. You activated the elevator in Grunty's Industries? Cool, you won't have to do it again next time you enter the level. -- Obviously, this is all necessary for the fact that these levels require you to revisit them several times. Speaking of that, the timecodes mention exactly how many jiggies I obtain each time I enter a specific stage. I can't list each jiggy separately, because most all of the actions that are required for each jiggy are done in "efficient" order rather than aiming for one specific jiggy each time. I personally think that some of these jiggies are incredibly hard, almost impossible, to figure out on your own. If you thought Kazooie was too easy, you might enjoy this more. Surely you got more of a bang for your buck with this version because you spend so much more time aimlessly walking around. I guess that's the fun aspect of it too. Back when you're a kid, with no internet at hand, just walking through these levels all day and finding a new action to trigger each time. Everything you do is saved so once again, that's a big plus. Fortunately you don't need all jiggies to get the final boss and ending. All jiggies simply unlocks a lame bonus cinematic. Collecting all musical notes doesn't do much either. In Kazooie it unlocks four rooms that each give you max red feathers, max gold feathers, max eggs and one final room that doubles your HP. Guess that wasn't much necessary in this version anyway, as you don't run out of this ammo as easily anymore. The items are now put in nests which give you 5-25 of that item as opposed to simply 1, in Kazooie. If you collect cheat pages you can unlock cheats such as more ammo and health regen. I enabled these during the final boss only. I don't consider these cheats, but rather perks or upgrades. There are some more powerful cheats in the game too which you don't get from unlocking pages, but by simply entering the codes which can be found online. These are much more like real cheat codes and I made sure not to use these, not even during the final boss. Lastly, as this is not always clear to everybody, the longplays are closer to casual gameplay than they are close to speedrunner gameplay. This game can obviously be played a lot quicker by abusing game mechanics, or be a lot shorter by cutting out backtracking, but that's not what we do. With that being said, the pathing I used is supposedly efficient for pleasurable viewing experience and the game was practiced once before recording. I spent roughly 60-70 hours of working hours on this entire project. Enjoy!
@@matthewmangan5161 Metroidvanias are side scrollers 😂 At least 90% of then, and Tooie is one anyhow. Almost all games with well thought out back tracking will always hold up, thanks to the timeless puzzle aspects of them. this game has alot more than just better sense of adventure than games today. Gameplay, fun factor, replayability, characters, art style and colors, controls, music, more challenge, no lootbox, no DLC, pretty much everything. Game industry has been destroyed for at least a decade now, used to be 50+ studios taking years making games paying devs full time now 4 monopolies spend 6 weeks "making" a game aka palette swapping a pre-rendered cookie cutter sandbox world from Adobe and adding in DLC and lootbox and releasing a playable demo as a finished product

Thanks for the nice, authentic video capture. So many longplays are done on an emulator - you retain not only the console capture, but also the composite video artifacts, which I think, honestly, are an important part of the N64 video signal. Of the "aesthetic", I think you could even say. Edit: It strikes me this technically may not be composite video artifacts - never the less, it resembles the pre-digital video look. :D

BK is not a prequel since it was released before BT. It would be a prequel if BT had been the first release, which it obviously isn't based on the name.
I heard that its a better game but I just can't play it because of serious framerate issues in some areas. I always felt that Bad Fur Day ran better than Banjo Tooie.
When you were battling Mr. Patch, you used a different strategy than I used when I played this game. When I fought him on the ground, I would aim for the patch on his butt because I figured that would be the hardest to hit due to its small size.

Jesus how many cutscenes was that at the beginning
This and Earthworm Jim 3D are my top-favorite collect-a-thons of all time.
There was a prequel to this called Banjo Kazooie: Grunty’s Revenge before the events of Banjo-Tooie.
BK is not a prequel since it was released before BT. It would be a prequel if BT had been the first release, which it obviously isn't based on the name.
LegoZelda It was just a thought.
I miss my childhood 😭
I remember playing this on my 64 so many years ago😭
This game really plays up shooting mechanics.
3:14:38 Ten points.
4:33:04 After vandalizing a bar, what's a bit of dynamite fishing?
How do you get them to seperate underwater?
Shame that this sequel suffered from terrible framerate issues. I could not play it. The original is so much smoother!
The game was so huge for its time. I feel like we can fix it now and it will be awesome. I prefer it to the first game
I heard that its a better game but I just can't play it because of serious framerate issues in some areas. I always felt that Bad Fur Day ran better than Banjo Tooie.
Doesn't the game run better when you use the expansion pack?
bro this game was so scary sometimes
Good video good game 👍.
Does the stuffed animal that goggles has in his hand get replace with something else in the Xbox rerelease?
25:22 i just niticed goggles is playing with a donkey kong plushie; nice easter egg
When you were battling Mr. Patch, you used a different strategy than I used when I played this game. When I fought him on the ground, I would aim for the patch on his butt because I figured that would be the hardest to hit due to its small size.
Classic!!!!!!!!!!!!
Master Jiggywiggy is teaching us the way? The Way of the Mandalore? Holy Crap, Star Wars and Banjo-Kazooie are connected!
(This was just a joke)
💕❤💕❤💕played along with you (:
We need this exact game remade modernly. Better graphics, animations, and maybe bug fixes and polish, but change nothing about the story.
I want Goggles and Speccy to be the instructors in Banjo-Threeie.
0:01 goes like this
I’m so happy he’s in smash
Who's here after smash
NeonAuraX I am do you think we'll get a remake of the first two Banjo-Kazooie games
They are already re-released for the Xbox with slightly better graphics and some small improvements

Well this does look great in many ways.
But which version is perfect.
The N64 or Xbox360
Banjo Burger true
1:14:33 OMG just go keep going already...i'm getting deja vu...how many times have you taken that portal back to the begining of the map...i can beat banjo kazooie in less than a day...and get everything...is banjo tooie really that much harder?
I not really here because of smash, i’m here because antdude did a review on this game and wanted to see the full thing.
This game is good and depressing
Canary Mary is nightmare fuel.
MVPerry (a youtuber): Kazooie is so nice! (Top 10 Smash WAIFUS)
Kazooie: He wasn't the favourite character in Banjo-Kazooie anyway...
Kazooie: At least we can speak properly!
Kazooie: Er, i dont think you have any substibutes?
3:00:00 so this is where all the crazy castle games come from
La interconexion entre mundos es simplemente genial, brillante creación.
